Another simple forum suggestion I thought about a long time ago but have never posted. This is also a common feature in forums, just as my previous suggestion.

We don't always check every thread we left a comment in, so often players don't read what other players wrote to them. A simple solution to this is to add notifications system.
Whenever a player quotes you/replies your thread you get a notification. The notifications will be probably somewhere in the top of the page - near the username and "log out" button. It would simply be a small button, which when being clicked opens up a dropdown menu which shows your notifications.

Possible notifications:
14 users have commented on your thread "Ron's maps".
X has quoted your message in topic Y.
etc.

Green threads where you havent written anything with new messages
Yellow threads where you have written into with new messages
White threads with no new messages.

I'd half support if there was some notification of players that taggged you for any reason to the thread.

I've been thinking about this too. I always wonder if someone quotes me, but I forget that I even posted on the thread I was quoted on.
