Might be quitting TFM. |

Where do I start tbh. There have been so many issues that have developed over the years honestly. I admit there's been good additions, but seriously though. TFM has had its time however. 7 years for a flash game to still be going multiplayer is INSANE. But honestly, its starting to get very stale. In the "Golden ages" of transformice, 2010-2012, The game was growing rapidly, And often I saw close to 100k (oh and nowadays, developers have gotten so ashamed that they removed the total count, as its dropped to below 20k members online total on all servers) members online at one point, and somehow everything was perfect. No levels, no fancy crap and you could learn how the entire game works in a few days, we actually GOT BREAKS from events(and they werent wrenched up our asses every 5 rounds) admins actually listened to a players ideas and sometimes implemented them. Then, The addition of fraises. It was far cheaper then it was now, and felt like a fair system. (If I remember correctly, 1 penny got you 5 fraises) and all sorts of stuff was added. But then it started to go too far, with all the fancy updates that made the game slowly more colorful, awkward and confusing. Then, they started 24/7 events, not caring about the people that want a break. Nowadays, the only actual escapes from the event while still being able to PLAY the game are going into bootcamp rooms or music rooms (which have a very limited set of maps) and sadly, its played on every single room on all gamemodes. By then, I had practically quit the game. Then I came back later in 2014 and saw the addition of levels and divine mode. I was kind of pissed that all the stuff I had gathered (by then, about 900 firsts, 10000 cheese and 6000 saves which wouldve added up to be level 55-60ish) didnt count for crap. I didnt really play much after that until September 2016, when I decided to return and play again. The Inventory system was implanted, which was nonsense to me at the moment. I eventually got the hang of it and then started to really see how much TFM has changed over the years. It wasnt very exciting, most of my friends that played in 2012-2013 had lever the game years ago. No wonder. I kept playing though, and eventually it was time for the valentines event. The event was stretched beyond normalty, and today, people from all countries are forced to celebrate a minor Brazilian holiday. Okay then. I try to get a hold of an admin in order to ask about the event, but I cant, which seems understandable. Until I realized you have to send an admin an email and do some form in order to get a response, and its practically impossible to have a normal conversation with an admin. tbh Ive never heard of a snobbier and more intellectophobic system. Ive been a loyal transformice member for almost 6 years, and I still have to deal with this slowly stupidifying system and not be able to get even get a quick message back, because admins seem to be that high up. I dont know what I can do though, because admins OBVIOUSLY wont give a flying fuck about one persons concerns. Ive really began to lose hope for this game and I must say its kind of upsetting to see such a great game go downhill so far. Long story short/TL:DR- Transformice has really gotten more capitalist and quantity-over-quality as time has gone on, and if it gets worse, i'll probably quit the game. i already partially quit transformice bc of the forums. god blese this place and i mean the only thing that (remotely) keeps me active on tfm is the cafe. if it wouldnt have been for that miniforum filled with tweens, i wouldve quit entirely by now. gonna admit that i go on tfm everyday but when i said remotely i was reffering to like,,, actually playing the game because the only thing i do is pretty much stay afk in the utility and read peoples messages on the cafe as i laugh my ass off anyway. good bye and great choice |

I understand why you are leaving. If I joined years ago I wouldn't stand the changes either. And if you do choose to quit the game well.. goodbye then. Take care. |

>"The event was stretched beyond normalty, and today, people from all countries are forced to celebrate a minor Brazilian holiday." ...You do realize we always had the Carnival event (as of early 2012), right? It's simply trashier than it used to be. I think that's when we got our first Carnival event, anyways. Also, it's not like people with different/no religions were forced to play every single one of the Christmas events, or anything - I know that's an obnoxious and absurd example, but it falls under the same category. Although, I do agree having an event based around such a.. usually small and minor holiday which is usually commemorated at schools.. too much, perhaps? I'm not even trying to sound offensive, it just seems pointless. >"Until I realized you have to send an admin an email and do some form in order to get a response, and its practically impossible to have a normal conversation with an admin. tbh Ive never heard of a snobbier and more intellectophobic system." Also, keep in mind they're a relatively small team - and when I say "team," I'm refering to the admins themselves. Having a system like this is obviously reasonable and expected. I've never contacted any of the administrators myself, but surely they do actually care about reading some of the feedback they receive, right? I mean, I can only pray that's the case. Either way, you can't just expect an administrator to spend over 5 minutes trying to talk to everyone in a room because otherwise we'll have entitled egotistical pricks going around being like, "Melibellule talked to me!1!11!11 uwu~~~", and I'm sure they try to look professional. Yet another absurd example, but it's just to give you an idea on why it works like that: It's not easy being a game developer, especially if you're getting shit for it every 0.05 seconds, probably. Not trying to start an argument and I understand why you'd quit Transformice at this point, though I felt like I had to make certain points. |
