Just finished watching the 1979 film Quadrophenia. The Mods were so lame with their cleancut suits and scooters, if I'd lived back then I definitely would have been a Rocker, much cooler.

Anyone else seen it and agree?

Well see I was really wanting to discuss the british subculture more than the film itself as I figured no one would have seen it. I only mentioned the film as that's what got me thinking about it. But now the title has changed and everyone will think this thread is just about the film. ;;

OH So were you trying to discuss like, all the different kinda 'groups' back then like Mods and Rockers etc.

But yeah that. I suppose I would discuss the film too if people had seen it but like I said I figured they wouldn't. It's weird cos I like the who but wouldn't wanna be a Mod. Ever. Can't imagine anything worse.

Seen the movie, love the movie, album was boss. I'd like to think I would end up being a rocker but back in that era rocker also seemed to imply illicit drugs. :c
