• New Timed Ground Feature [Tutorial] |
0 | ||
Since the new update came with the new vanilla maps, a new feature about map xml was created too. It contains the feature included also in map 92. • First just create a ground, doesnt matter what type is it, or static or dynamic ground. • Then copy map to clipboard • From the map XML , get the ground properties part of the ground you want to make it timed. <S L="40" o="324650" H="40" X="412" Y="347" T="12" P="0,0,0.3,0.2,0,0,0,0" /> a dit : • In the XML, near the <S put this thing: v="milliseconds" It should look like this: <S v="1000" L="40" o="324650" H="40" X="412" Y="347" T="12" P="0,0,0.3,0.2,0,0,0,0" /> The v means the vanish, or velocity. The milliseconds work like this: 1000ms = 1s This new feature works in static grounds, dynamic too. When the timed ground is atachted to the timed ground, he will dissapear too after the time reaches zero. When the timed ground is atachted with joint art, the joint art will dissapear. The invisible water feature also came out. You do the same with the static ground, but you have to put negative velocity. Water Ground Properties: <S L="380" H="51" X="440" Y="304" T="9" P="0,0,,,,0,0,0" /> You will have to use it like this: <S v="-1000" L="380" H="51" X="440" Y="304" T="9" P="0,0,,,,0,0,0" /> Credits to the one who found first c: (Impuredeath) |

Killerlux a dit : I'm not sure but I doubt if any maps will be permed with this time of feature. It's very simple so guys I reccommend you make your maps really creative. I think you should use it for the vanilla parody in the contest and some or few of the maps in rotation can be chnaged using this and should use this feature. Like that p7 map with the falling ice. Anyways this in my opinion has got to be the simpleist and at the same time creative mech I've seen. |

Killerlux a dit : Well when you use it I reccommend submitting some maps to Specific Map requests since it's more easier and quicker to get a discussions/perm. |

I'll use the p4 thread instead so I can get feedback about it and maybe make it better :p e: Oh, I just saw what the specific map request is looking for, but I don't think they'll stay till I'm back home. |
