I wonder why non-japanese people are still not able to talk in the japanese server, especially since it seems the other new servers are open for chatting. I guess they just haven't got enough japanese mods yet? There didn't seem to be any talking at all on that server... I know many would argue that the servers should never be opened for chat because of weeaboos, but I really doubt they can be the reason behind not opening the server. |

All servers are filtered, regardless of weeaboos. It's to eliminate spam from non-native speakers. |

Why can we talk in some of the other new servers, then? |

Oh yeah, I just tested it. Odd. Perhaps in the end it does indeed come down to weeaboos. But I also wonder if it's partly because a lot of Brazilian and Turkish players come to JP the most. |

Well, they really can't know how bad it'll be unless they actually try to open the chat for a while. |

Japanese server is definitely one of the very popular communities for the Internet people who speak just a few japanese words and want to learn a bit more. Unfortunately, this leads to spam in different languages and it annoys the native japanese players who wish to play and talk with their friends. Therefore, admins decided to use the filter to avoid such issues. If you have any more questions in the future, do not hesitate to visit the Questions and Answers thread. Thanks and good luck! |
