Everything has its dark side... Some more than others. *** This fanfiction is about life for the "bootcampers;" mice that have devoted the rest of their life behind the walls of Bootcamp, forever training with no reasoning to why. However, devoted is a term used loosely. Many of these Bootcampers are taken in without choice, forced to pledge their lives to a world of nothing but gaps and holes, forced to live a life of servitude towards an unknown cause. Table of contents: Prologue: Raindrops pounded on the large, covered cage that several unconscious mice lay in. Two orange eyes opened up, hopelessly trying to adjust to such a darkness, and stood up shakily. Sniffing around and feeling the cage move, his voice rang out solemnly, "Where am I?" Chapter 1: Chapter 2: Chapter 3: Chapter 4: Chapter 5: Chapter 6: Chapter 7: Chapter 8: Chapter 9: Chapter 10: Chapter 11: Chapter 12: Chapter 13: Characters: (I apologize for the pictures I've made; they weren't saving correctly in the dressroom.) Reference:  Name: Zipp Age: 17 Personality: Timid and nervous, Zipp is one who learns to insult before enjoying one's company. He loves a good smoke. Brief back story: Zipp was normal. His parents got along fine, his two younger sisters (mostly) loved his company, and he had a good number of friends to reply on. What was supposed to be a quick little smoke of the pipe ended up as a fight, a call to help, and blacking out as he was taken to his fate of the Bootcamp. Rank: Newcomer Reference:  Name: Bootcamper (Camps) Age: 20 Personality: Never speaks, never smiles. He knows his way around every course, and he's never messed up once. While other mice had "died" at least 500 times before, he hadn't a single death, and seemed to enjoy the Bootcamp life. He never takes his shades off, so nobody knows where he's looking, or what he's feeling. Brief back story: No one knows anything about Camps besides the fact that he willingly came to this new life, never spoke about his past, and never seemed to care about it, either. Rank: Bootcamper Reference:  Name: Psycha Age: 19 Personality: Chaotic and wild, Psycha's real name was long forgotten in her own mind and the minds of others. She's always grinning, and climbs around the Bootcamp maps like a circus freak. Brief back story: Just like Camps, Psycha is a mysterious nut case. Sometimes, others near her bunker can hear her crying out in fear, as if remembering another time. Most people think it has to do with how she arrived at Bootcamp. Rank: Bootcamper Reference:  Name: Rose (Real name is Jane) Age: 16 Personality: "Goth," self-kept, and often snarls at others. She always carries a black rose around with her, getting her the name Rose. Brief back story: Rose was ignored because of her "unique" personality. She never minded, and in fact enjoyed pushing others' buttons and making more enemies than friends. Rose was always a bit of an athlete, but never wanted to be stranded in Bootcamp. Rank: Newcomer Reference:  Name: Sergeant Age: 19 Personality: Calls people "sir" and "ma'am" way too much, always has a too-positive outlook on things, willingly came to Bootcamp. Brief back story: Sergeant says he had always dreamed of the Bootcamp life, and that he signed up once he was 14 and old enough to join. He now competitively races each map, dying a few times here and there, but nonetheless being a strong part of Bootcamp. Rank: Bootcamper Other people's characters (Closed): Birdluv Reference:  Name: Chihiro Age: 19 Personality: An independent, serious, reticent, and studious natured mouse. Others find it challenging to understand him as he does not reveal his innermost thoughts unless he are completely comfortable in your friendships. Brief back story: As a delinquent, Chihiro was sent to Bootcamp instead of withstanding jail alone (by choice). Living on the streets with strangers, he lived a gruesome life. Rank: [Newcomer or Bootcamper] Newcomer Ejaffa Reference:  Name: Jarvis Age: 16 Personality: The rough and tumble type, committed to what she does, blind to dire situations, athletic. Brief back story: Jarvis always used to be a loner, she was too optimistic for the others to handle and therefore she was banished to bootcamp. She never saw it as a bad thing though, she took each course as a challenge to overcome, but there was always something she knew that wasn't right, she dismissed her troubles too quickly and each day in bootcamp grew darker, but her happiness never tarnished. Rank: Bootcamper Ilingirl Reference:  Name:Coraline Personality:Seems scary and cocky but is caring and nice with newcomers , quite a bright mouse but she's always underestimated . Lies and steals to protect the ones that matter to her . Brief back story: Lived in a poor family and got used to stealing and providing money in numerous ways for her family . At her arrival to Bootcamp , she was never given a chance , bullied and left alone . Her powers grew and she learned her way of getting around things . Rank: [Newcomer or Bootcamper] : Bootcamper Smalltoes: Reference:  Name: Shamrock Age: 17 Personality: Can be boisterous, but is mostly friendly. Though a bit of a show off. Good at making friends and is kind and honest towards them, though she'll give 'em a good punch if needs be. As for the people who offend her and her friends, well, they'll wish they were never born. Doesn't trust people easily, but she will help people out if she feels like they need it. Brief back story: Born in Ireland. Her parents suddenly disappeared when she was 14, they haven't been found since. Touchy on the subject of her parents as she loved them more than anyone else. Became a bootcamper as soon as she learned to walk. Rank: Bootcamper. Nibblerrat: Reference:  Name: Midnight Age: 14 Personality: Shy, quiet and small. She's good at running and jumping but joining bootcamp wasn't her choice. She mostly likes to keep to herself, but when provoked she will attack them. She has a good advantage against most other newcomers because of her speed. Brief back story: Her parents thought of her as a mistake, so they gave her up to bootcamp as soon as she was old enough. she's been at bootcamp for a month, and is always looking for a way out. Rank: Newcomer Satash: Reference:  Name: Gacha Age: 20 Personality: An extroverted, outgoing, and friendly mouse who isn't afraid of making his affectionate touches known. He radiates warmth around him. Sometimes he will keep to himself. Brief back story: He doesn't talk about his past. All the other bootcampers know is that he didn't choose to come here and that he's been homesick for a while. Rank: Bootcamper Boefie: Reference:  Name: Kenji Age: 20 Personality: Friendly and funny, he isnt afraid to show hes humor. Though hes verry casual about everything, when hes mad hes MAD. Is a dreamer, he seems to live in hes own world sometimes. He cant control hes rage sometimes, and shit happen then. A little harsh to newcomers. Brief back story: Forced to come here, but he tries to make the best out of it, he keeps talking about hes mother. And how amazing she was, on the other hand, he doesnt talks about hes father at all. | Decided to enter a character. Meet Gacha, a positive fellow. "Please give a well thought out character, as well!" Sometimes this will be your downfall Shard, kekeke.   Name: Gacha Age: 20 Personality: As an extroverted, outgoing, and friendly mouse Gacha is a breath of fresh air from the gloomy and quiet mice. Gacha has a great sense of humour and is overly dramatic when he tells stories. He somehow trips over nothing. Gacha's confidence and mood is usually high, but it can go sour fast. When his mood is spoiled he can get very snappy and childish. The mouse is rather good at bootcamping contrary to what his clumsiness tells. He has his days when he keeps to himself. Gacha has his faults for being overly attached to his ideas and falling into favouritism without a second thought. Sometimes he will get overly affectionate with another by touch even if the mouse looks uncomfortable. [size=9](Platonic touching, not romantic or sexual.) [size=6][Speaking of romantic/sexual: He's usually uncomfortable about romance (because he knows nothing about it) but if he returns the feelings then well, the ship sails.] While the aura around him feels warm and homey, be careful when he has his hair in a tie! The air around him will suddenly become sharp and heavy. His steps will be calculated and nimble. He will only speak if he needs information, but even then his words will still be soft and kind. He looks quite serious when this happens. Nobody is quite sure why this happens, which is why there is always gossip about him circling around.
