So I'm assuming the mods have sticks jammed up their arses because I said one word that they took out of context just because it's that one word.

What is a REAL mutable offense?
No really, what is bad enough to get a mute?
I've seen people muted for telling others to kill themselves, but I agree that is a fair mute. You're trying to protect someone's life as the victim could be suicidal, depressed or have another mental illness that could lead to them actually committing.
But then we have the time someone in 801 muted for 'inappropriate chat' because they said, "tits lol". THAT WAS LITERALLY WHAT THEY SAID.
It is not our problem that children foetus-9 play this game. They should have parental permission anyway. And if they don't, you don't blame us, you blame the parents for trusting their kid on the internet, expecting they're going to get VIP treatment from everyone around them!
I could rant all day about irresponsible parents, but all I want is an answer for why moderators will mute for such petty reasons. I said the word "faggot". So what? I wasn't using it to insult anyone. The mods took it out of context for NO REASON. SOMEONE SAID THEY GOT MUTED FOR SAYING AN "F" WORD AND I WANTED TO SEE WHAT IT WAS.

Oh, and explain the "thanks!" thing to me. Is it "thanks for cooperating!"? If so, that's stupid, since I didn't ask to get muted. It's not really cooperation.
It's just as weird as those edgy messages that have a happy emoticon on the end. (e.g: "I'm going to come to your house and kill you :)")

Regardless of how it's used, homophobic terms are a mutable/bannable offense. You never know who you can trigger by saying such things.
Check ban/mute appeals tab here, and if you have a problem with the way the chat is moderated, you can send a message to administration.

In regards to what can get you muted, the rules post is a good start.

How can it trigger someone by being said without a target? I don't understand why it's a problem to say it if it isn't being used as an insult!

Even if you aren't insulting someone in particular, someone reading the chat can feel offended that you used the slur.
