Almost every time, it lags when I get the cheese for about half a second.
It's not much, but it often results in me dying on maps that require you to jump to get the cheese, then quickly jump back in order not to fall, and that tiny lag spike results in me not being able to jump back.

Usually when this happens it's just because of your computer. A solution is depending on what your playing tfm on.
say your playing on steam one and this happens, usually all you have to do is switch the program your using on. For example starting on steam the switching to the website or to the transformice application. If it still has lag spikes, might just be your computer atm.

This bug is really annoying.
Not only do I lag when I get cheese, but when there's a Spring over the cheese when the cheese is above a gap, like this:

...I glitch right through the Spring.
I get the cheese, land on the Spring, but I go straight through the Spring and don't go back up.
This happens so many times.

I've tried to play Transformice on Google Chrome, and I think this bug is nonexistent.
I prefer to play on Steam, though. Why? It counts how long I play (yes, I know about /time), it shows my friends that I'm playing it so they can join, I can use the Steam overlay to chat with my friends while playing, it's less laggy than the browser version, et cetera.
I guess I'll have to switch to Google Chrome to get rid of this issue, though.

idk i once had that "bug" before so i tried going into options and disabling the sound, it worked for me.

I think this is a bug in the steam version. It happens only on the steam version for me. It's impossible to do water maps so I just use baffler's standalone.

My computer has an i7 core processor and SSD so it's not my computer's problem.

In all likelihood, it's due to the particles that are spawned when you get cheese. Disabling particles should solve your problem.

i was having a lot of trouble finding a solution to this through google and this is the only one that was able to solve it for me. disabling the sound seemed to instantly fix my problem. i can run games like fallout 4 really well but i lag when i get the cheese on transformice, so i have a feeling its not just a computer issue.
