Question :

Is there any rules about using defilante code that submitted for high perm? not the token but the length.
For example, i wanna submit map to P7 but it has length by 3000 (using defilante code). its allowed or there's rules about it?

Joints are basically how a lot of mapmakers create mech nowadays. You can find a few tutorials down below.

Let me state that I like lava in normal rotation and racing maps, I don't care much for bootcamp.

About racing reviews, Chibi wanted to help out and review last month but ended up being too busy with school. She had some free time, so she reviewed a couple days ago, on the 27th. Consider this a one-time thing. The thread will still close on the 1st of the month and open again on the 14th, with reviews being posted on or near the 14th as usual.

There has been a lot of criticism of the new bootcamp maps added, so I'm going to do my best to reply to that criticism here, and hopefully help you to all understand our viewpoint.

It can be difficult to balance bootcamp for both newer players and veteran players, for all the complaints we get from veteran players about hard bootcamp maps, we get an equal amount of complaints from newer bootcamp players who have trouble finding maps that they can learn on. It’s hard because while bootcamp is supposed to be hard, there also needs to be a decent amount of easy maps so that newer players don’t just try out bootcamp and leave because they have no chance of ever completing the maps they play. I’m sure all of the veteran bootcamp players started off playing easy maps as well, and that was the only way they were able to be better. We are trying our best to make the bootcamp rotation perfect, but it’s a lot of work and something that will take time.

What is an OP farm map to some people is still a difficult map for newer players. If there are maps with shortcuts like that, please do report them though, and they will be discussed. We’ve already depermed some of the worst maps that we added (they were added in a group), and we’re discussing others.

Yea, the rotation needs work as well. There's a lot of modern maps that I rarely see, which means there is either far too many maps, or certain maps need a higher priority. Some maps (such as the wooden one of mine, that was never intended to even be in rotation) need to be removed. I'm not saying remove all farm/easy maps, because beginners need them, but it would be nice to get something like 4/5 harder/newer maps then 1 farm map. Maybe switch up what p3 and 13 are for. Use 13 as farm maps and 3 for newer tougher maps, and see if we can get Tig to change up rotation.

I think the ratio should be more like 3 hard maps to 2 easier maps, there are a lot more newer players joining bootcamp and learning it than there are older, veteran players playing it. If there are only easy maps every 1 in 5 maps, newer players are more likely to get frustrated and leave the room before even being able to attempt a map that they may be able to do.

As for the switch up with P3/P13, after the new old style P13 maps were added, we moved 20 maps from P13 to P3 to balance out the rotation more, and give the better P13 maps more game time. There are also 20 more P13 maps in discussion to be moved to P3 (and more to come).

This is an interesting idea, and something that I’ll discuss with the bootcamp team. Something like 100 P3 maps and 100 P13 maps every month would give everyone the chance to see all of the maps rather than the majority of people never seeing all the bootcamp maps because there are so many. Maybe something like 125 harder maps to 75 easier maps per group could work out to please both veteran and newer bootcamp players.

If there are maps that you think should be in rotation, by all means suggest them. We’re only human and there are maps that we miss, or overlook at a first glance. Our aim is to make the rotation enjoyable for the community, and if you have maps that you think would be enjoyable/fun in bootcamp, please do suggest them, we’d love to hear about them.

In my opinion as a player, this would be cool to see. It works reasonably well for racing, and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't bring some variety into the way bootcamp maps are played. Although, if this were to be implemented I'd like to see it only happen with certain maps- say, only the P13 rotation is changed up/put into monthly groups or specific P3 maps are changed, as there are certain maps which are staples in the rotation and thus shouldn't be tampered with.

I can't say I speak for all the players of the bootcamp game mode, but I've been playing bootcamp for around half a year now and I think that's reasonable qualification to voice my opinion on such a matter.
