click on your name next to the "logout" button, and press "inbox"

You need the postcard/note consumable (or whatever its called).
Check if you have it in your inventory, click use and write your message.
Then send it to whoever and they should receive it when they go online.

The only requirements I'm aware of are that you must:

• have a verified e-mail
• have played 30 hours in the game

If your /time is 30 hours+ and you've re-logged, you may have to send a contact form to the administrators asking why the restriction is on your account and if it can be removed.

On your tribe menu (bottom left cheese shield button on the chat interface), next to your name on the tribe list is a square button with a circle inside it. Click that button and then click the option that lets you leave the tribe.

You need to have also collected 700 cheese.

It'd be real nice if these things were posted in a sticky thread or something, literally nobody has brought that up until this moment.

I am actually surprised that we need 700 cheese in order to be able to gift items. We were never told about that.
Is that a new requirement or was it always like that..?

I feel like admins are throwing updates and they leave them to us to find out how everything works.

It's new because I would regularly receive gifts from my ex when he had ~300 cheese.

I'm sure it's to further prevent Steam fraud.
