Steam uses virtual "tags" to determine whether users are trusted customers or not (depending on your purchase history). If you have recently made a purchase, your account may not yet have been tagged as such. Unfortunately Valve (company owning Steam) is very secretive about how to get this "tag" (I don't even know if it is a tag or how it works) or how often this gets updated, so it can take a while. However, I have some good news too :-) This requirement is planned to be lifted in the future. I don't have a specific date, however. If you can't purchase using Steam right now, please either wait until this requirement is removed or use one of the other payment methods that do not include Valve. My apologies for the inconvenience.

For payment method I use Paypal. I have tried to access Transformice through a Web Browser, Steam, and a standalone. I have used three different browsers such as Chrome, IE, and Firefox. My computer runs windows. My tablet runs Mac. Version I believe is an 8.1 and 7. I have installed Adobe Air as an upgrade. I have tried clearing my cache, cookies, data, everything on every browser I've tried. Every time I try to purchase a mere 5$ worth of fraises it opens whichever browser I choose, I log in successfully to paypal, however, when it's time to confirm payment Paypal says "Sorry, we can’t complete your purchase at this time
Please return to the merchant and choose another way to pay." Which I get error 8, but I have tried to purchase Fraises for a week now. I have enough funds for it to process, I have everything spelled correctly, nothing has changed. I even paid my phone bill online with this bank information and same card that I'm trying to use here, it worked fine when I paid my bill. I have contacted Paypal and they told me they've corrected those issues already that it should be coming from wherever I'm trying to purchase from, in this case, Transformice.. Can anyone fix this or lead me in the right direction? I'm getting a little disappointed, I was always able to purchase Fraises before with no trouble, and now this.


It wouldn't let me edit my past post. The stupid thing finally worked, I did a factory reset on my entire tablet, downloaded Safari and the stupid thing worked.. Anyways. No help needed it processed and all is fine. Thanks anyway. Lol.

Thanks for editing your post once you found a solution to your problem. Although this seems like a very specific problem, your info may help other users with similar issues.

Hello, I've been having a problem with gifting lately. Every time I try to gift someone, this message pops up "You must buy a fur and wait for 7 days before you're allowed to gift to another player."
I bought a fur and it has been more than a week already, yet I still get this message. I am not quite sure what to do at this point. Do I need to buy another fur?

Hello, so I had 12 dollars on my steam earlier and everyone said to over the "You must have done previous purchases with your Steam account before being able to purchase fraises" you must atleast purchase a game over 5$ which I did (7$) and I still keep getting the same text, sadly this is all I can use cause my mom gave it to me. Can anyone help?

Hello,

To be 100% clear, did you buy a fur, or a fur color? They are in separate categories. From what I know it's required that you buy an actual fur, colors don't work.

I just used 360 fraises to gift my friend the shark fur, and this happens:

He's unable to receive the gift, causing my 360 fraises to be void for no reason...

Edit: Ignore this post as we're already resolved the problem by ourselves. It's a bug related to an unknown issue with Chrome itself...

you should be able to type in what phone number you want to use in order to buy fraises

Atelier 801 / Transformice does not store phone numbers. Riannaleo is right in that you should be able to type in whatever phone number you'd like to use. If the problem persists, please send me a PM and I'll try to find out what's going on exactly.

That should make no difference. How long ago did you buy this fur? It's possible that if it's really long ago, it may not have registered. I've had a few reports indicating that.

But then, when I tried to buy for the second time, it say "You must have done previous purchases with your Steam account before being able to purchase fraises." Then, I buy games on Steam as suggested above. I bought more than 5$ which consist of 2 games . Almost 10$ but I still can't buy the fraises. It still say the same thing again and again. What should I do ? Please help me. Thanks!

In that case, please fill out the contact form. Make it very clear that you bought a fur, when you bought it and which fur it is. There should be a payment record of this. Hopefully the admins can set this right for you. Since you seem to be the only one here having the problem, I am betting that it is some account problem.

Keep in mind that it can take up to two weeks to get a reply from the contact form. If for whatever reason you have not received a reply in that time, please send me a private message and I will make sure the admins get on your case.

I hope this helps, it's about all I can do about it.

It's a problem with Transformice and Steam. It's been discussed a lot on the past few pages. Please use a different payment method for the time being.
