Barrydarsow a dit : And i always thought that the map maker is the one who should play it and finish it while a map crew member is reviewing it. |

| I dont think that it was an idea, more I think that Bugembo thought, like he said, that the Bootcamp MC has to watch (or is watching) the one who made the map instead of testing the map all by himself. The problem with this is, that if the Mapmaker is showing the MC member how the map works, the MC member doesnt have to think about how to solve the map and as far as I understood it right, this is an important step for completing bootcamps; at least it gets mentioned in the submission rules for bootcamp ( Quote: "Map should be straightforward. If you look at the map, play it for a few minutes and still have no idea how to do it, then regular players will take 10 times that amount of time to figure it out as well"). So if the mapmaker, who knows the way already, is able to finish his own map within 1 minute, or lesser time, how could this be helpful for the bootcamp MC? Im sure it would make more sense to ask a Mapmaker, if the MC member is unsure about the way or how it should work. But thats something different. And why should someone be a bootcamp MC if he doesnt have fun in completing the bootcamps? :P That they have to play and test the maps all by theirselfs should show you how much work they have, work that not a lot of players are able to do or want to do. |

| Hey a bunch of my maps from filler packs and month perms and stuff seem to not be depermed, not saying you should deperm them just wanting to know if the mapcrew had just decided to keep them in their respective categories or something. speaking about: @6205570 @6189772 @6102838 @3801374 @3507115 @2988860 Again, not saying they should be depermed, just curious as to why they've stayed longer than I was expecting them to. while I'm at it, I noticed @6644956 is still just P32, Crew's told me a couple times it'd take a lot longer due to stuff going on but I assume after this long this map got rejected, just making sure about this. |

| Maps permed as filler packs remain permanent perms...or atleast until we feel they've become too stale. Month perms were intended to be depermed after a month is up, however a small fraction of the maps were good enough to keep around for longer. It's safe to assume maps are rejected if they're still not permed after it's been a month since it's been sent to discussion. |

| whats the point of the "no defilante/dynamic grounds" rule in racing |
| « Censeur » 1468678500000
| 0 | ||
| Dynamic grounds depend heavily on the sync, so if a sync is bad, they can easily ruin the map. Besides, the sync will ALWAYS have the advantage, no matter what. And in a gamemode, where everyone should have equal chances, if one of them is the sync on a map with dynamic grounds he'll have the advantage on it, and that would be unfair. |

| ^ I would recommend only using dynamic grounds if they are dynamic for a mechanism, the grounds would need to not move, which there's lots of examples of that such as the booster ground. |

| The "No defilante/dynamic grounds" rule is to discourage players from submitting maps with these features since 99% suck. There is one exception for each rule in the racing rotation. There's an Xorcist map with defilante tokens with very unique gameplay that's too hard for any rotation category, and an old Nyoibou map with a treadmill. I've been dealing with racing since Holz got sick of checking map submissions when it was his bot-run minigame, and the "no dynamic grounds" rule was inherited from his rules at the time. Racing is supposed to be more focused on skill than luck and if there are dynamic grounds moving about, it increases the chance of luck being a factor in the outcome... and there's also the sync thing Killerlux mentioned. I added the rules about defilante tokens and scrolling maps when these features were added. I find it rare that defilante tokens are used in a fun and unique way, and scrolling maps are simply annoying for precise movement. Dernière modification le 1468702260000 |

| honestly it seems pretty unfair to me that if someone were to make a good defilante map it would be rejected because other people made defilante maps that suck; i still dont see how that's different from banning let's say "maps with chocolate grounds" the same applies to scrolling, the mechanic itself can be used in great ways. |

| They're not banned, they're highly discouraged. If someone were to submit a map with defilante tokens or scrolling it would get looked at while the review is being done, not immediately passed over. |

queen1016 a dit : There's no submission topic for P1, To get a P1 submit a map to any P3+ and mapcrew will guide you if they think it's suitable for a P1 then they will put as a P1, Moderators also can P1 but i won't think asking them is the good choice because they are busy with their work as a moderators taking (reports,bans) and these kind of stuff. These are the requirements for a P1 Click me and scroll to the top of the topic For nob barry edited. Dernière modification le 1470954240000 |
