It does help me, since I mainly wanted help with the colour and detail of the iris, not with the shape of the eye. Thanks for this. |

Mistalee a dit : Maybe if you made the top of the neck thinner than the bottom, it would make it look more natural instead of having the neck be all the same length. |

Mistalee a dit : All right, I tried to do a little red-line. I'm not the best at human anatomy and all, so I'm sorry that it's not completely accurate. When I first saw the drawing, I was a bit confused, because I thought the person was facing forward- due to the angle of the head. However, upon examining the drawing further, I concluded that the character is actually supposed to be turning their back to the viewer. I think the problem here is mainly the angles at which you placed the head compared to the body/shoulders. I could be wrong, but I don't think humans are capable of turning their heads around that far. To fix this, I believe there are multiple ways; you could turn the angle of the head more towards the left, or you could change the angle of the shoulders (more to the right). In my (not so good) red-line, I changed the angle of the shoulders a little, and moved the facial features to the left just a bit just to give you the idea. PS: Sorry that the character looks a bit different in my version, but I hope it gets the idea across. Edit: One more thing, I think that the face in general looks too much like a front-view. This is why I think the current face would look most natural with a body that's facing forward too. If you want to give the effect that the person is looking over their shoulder, you should move the facial features a bit more to the left side of the head, to give it the look of an angle. (I sort of illustrated that in the red line). Sorry if I wasn't clear enough ^^' Dernière modification le 1411269960000 |

k so i know its traditional art and not tfm related, but i wanted to trace it and i need SERIOUS anatomy help **Note that this is a style I was trying out** |
0 | ||
Lietfan, the first thing that I noticed is that are no legs. The second thing I noticed is that it looks like there is no spine, the entire back is flat. The third thing I saw is there is an odd placement of eyes, the left eye should not be visible. The last thing I saw is that there is no mouth. I found a dog anatomy similar to the canine you were drawing. Dernière modification le 1411265700000 |

Lietfan a dit : it doesn't really match what you did but hey sort of a reference I guess I am not that good at critiquing but I wanted to give it a try also I am not that good with cats, but im okay if you trace this if you want its just a quick little look at how it should look like. and I know the ears still aren't very even this was a quick sketch also the paws please ignore them I know they're terrible read below The ears are far too pointy, usually cat ears are rounded at the tip, not pointed (they also don't look very even, as in size) Also, the heads position looks way too uncomfortable. When you do it digitally try to make the head go up a bit and not so horizontal. If I were you, I'd draw the cats face pointing directly forward and laying on its side. (if that confuses you please tell me I'm not the best at explaining) Where are the feet? Where are the arms/paws? just sort of follow what I did in the redline (its not the best, im not good at cats haha) and to add on theres lots of other ways to make a sleeping position for a cat you can just look those up as references or w/e this is like my second time critiquing fuck Dernière modification le 1411266240000 |

Lietfan a dit : firstly, the way the cat is sleeping looks way uncomfortable, despite how flexible cats are, i don't think they're able to stay in a pose like that for long. try lifting the head off the ground a little bit, and leaning the head a little bit toward the left slightly. next, the cat's back is too flat, it looks like it has no spine curve the back to show the cat has a spine. next, the ears are way too pointy, usually cat ears are a little rounded on the end now, where are the paws/legs? i really hope that cat has paws and legs. lastly, you shouldn't be able to see the other eye, as it's on the other side of the snout. if you have to, search up on google, search up "cat sleeping", you'll get a ton of results on different poses cats have when they're sleeping. this looks similar to the cat you were trying to draw. as you can see, you're still able to see the front paws.
