Ciocead, if you aren't going to critique don't type anything about it. Anyway Vulli I would make the boots a little less.. huge. I don't see anything thing else wrong, just shaky lines. |

Vulli a dit : the wrist is a bit skinny, but yet again its a mouse so |

Lordfuzzy a dit : I just had to step in on this..I'm pretty sure those are not "shaky lines" okay. It looks like a sketch, when you sketch, you draw fast. Those lines are shaky. They are to give it form and shape, not make it perfect. |

Satash a dit : Aye, the 'larger' shoes add to the character's style. I don't see them as being too big. |

Lordfuzzy a dit : ??? the shoes boots are in perfect shape, they aren't big and imo it looks like a sketchy drawing what else would you expect with shaky lines |

Jeez, all this fuss over a comment? Of course I knew that it was a sketch, I was only suggesting to make less shakier lines because it may turn out to be an actual piece, who knows? I also suggested smaller boots because I honestly think it's more fashionable. Sorry for not pointing it out, but seriously guys. |

Lordfuzzy a dit : shaky lines can be style. and 4.) Is this going to help them or is it going to help you? This rule is here because sometimes people just don't like the art piece. Some will even try to get the artist to change what they don't like. If you are going to include what is annoying you in their art piece, say that it is YOUR PREFERENCE/ANNOYANCES. listing that it's your nitpicks might benefit you next time birdluv a dit : even if it's a mouse, it's an anthro mouse techinically an anthro has similar anatomy to a human, so critique based on human anatomy with animal features |

Vulli a dit : Haha I always see your character as an adventurous mouse (also seen by some of your sketches) that explores. Was thinking of a pirate suit for you. But as usual characters you create is different from your own personality. I cant critic much on anatomy, because after all, it is a fun sketch in PEN. Is not something serious that you want it to be perfect so it is understandable. The only thing I want to point out that the hand angle is really weird for the 2nd picture. But again, as a sketch, thats... how much I can judge. |

Girlkirbyy a dit : (i didn't notice that the hair shouldn't be so high, and the whole head should be a bit flatter ;A;) im too lazy again, so i won't write a long critique. so the first things i noticed were too big ears and eyes. idk are they part of your style, but making them smaller would make the whole picture look better. and human arms are really difficult to draw (for me at least, so my pic isn't perfect either), so you should watch some tutorials about how to draw them. they'll look a lot better than stick arms. and everything else is pretty good, but you can always improve! :D can someone critique this one? i drew it based of canine anatomy, so i hope it isn't too bad ;v: |

Chawee a dit : yeah i always get carried away with big ears and eyes ^-^ but y'know good looking eyes are hard too ;^; thanks! (i also draw with a mouse too so i'm not sure if thats a problem o: ) |

The cat looks really long, cats usually aren't too long. I only see one brush size change, try different sizes. There isn't a background but a log/tree? I suggest adding one. |

A background or lack thereof is not something to critique, that's a personal taste. Sadlelight a dit : My biggest issue is that there seems to be no whiskers, which cats depend on. It's also hard to tell where exactly there are ears on the cat... or if the head is just... pointy. If that makes sense. Also, don't do the pocket thing! Don't be afraid to try and draw some limbs (or at least the shadow of one, because the cat would be standing pretty uncomfortably if both were behind it) |

Pegasmice a dit : from your picture, it looks like you sort of copy the tfm mouse as a reference. I do not know if you copied it (i haven no rights to assume), but by just looking at the reference and trying to copy the same would not be as good. What you should be doing instead is to study the style, if you are willing to use that. I can do an example of one below: But after my study, it will look really like, in this case, meli's artwork, and can be considered as copying a style, which can anger some people. So instead we 'steal' the style. is different than copying. Copying is just looking at the reference and trace it Stealing is understanding how it works and add more onto it. So after adding your own 'style' (like more fluff, more natural looking etc etc) you can start to draw your character. *NOTE* this as a self practice is fine, best not to upload your studies in your gallery or anything Your flaws is that you do not really understand gravity (tail item) how to draw wings (you can learn by tutorials around the interweb) body angle (surprise, is actually a perspective problem :o) and some anatomy problems I think i sound to harsh now.. but i hope i helped you! |
