I think that on the Edit Permissions window for the tribe forum where you can pick what colour name a right has. This will only take affect in the tribe forum though. It could show a coloured square and when you click it the palette comes up.

Am I the only one who sees no clear reason for this? You'll know who has rights when they deal with a post or topic, or look at their rank even since you can see what rank has the right to do what.
Just seems like a chance for people to get a coloured name to brag about.

I would be okay-ish with fixed colors (no custom colors as they can easily be made to match staff colors) like the orange colors suggested above. Other than that it seems like a small feature that might be of use in less than organized tribes.

As much as I love the color orange (not saying that's the only color that should be used, no): As Haru said, I could just look at the ranks tab in the tribe menu and see which ranks have powers over the subforum. In addition, sorting the members by rank to see which members have these ranks, as there shouldn't be too many with those powers.

I'm not really against this suggestion, but I see no need for it. :x
