Movement (WSAD) seems to be based on the game detecting key press and key release. This causes some problems where your character keeps running when you activate another window on the computer for example, or when there is a lag spike. Perhaps theres already a lot of discussion of this, but I do feel that if the game constantly detects key being pressed may be a good idea instead of key press/release for movement. Ranged weapons shoot in an arc making it hard to aim a specific enemy. Maybe can base the arc width on critical chance and perhaps some other weapon statistics? Like if you think about it, landing a critical hit would realistically be about you hitting the right spot like the head, or the heart i.e. accuracy. Not sure if pushing it, but perhaps some chance to miss when using a ranged weapon would be interesting Ranged weapons break too fast. They lose durability as they are shot, and thats fine for me. But how does being out of ammo make them break? Would suggest to add in another item status. Currently its green, orange, and red before things break. Perhaps another status can be added to indicate out of ammo. Maybe theres a better way but I could imagine using the mechanics of weapon modifier can be used here? Like drag and drop item called "ammo" to add more ammo to ranged weapons? Would be more realistic for me to bring 1 gun and 3 magazines rather than bringing 4 guns (which overall still takes up 4 slots either way). Just that it would bring more use to ranged weapons rather than merely salvaged for precious ore. Would add more options to gameplay, where people can like go for ranged builds, etc. Tracker zombies on my screen (and sometimes other zombies) turn invisible as soon as they detect me. Perhaps its the lag, but I can see the double red dots above it move which shows that my computer already received the info from the server that the zombie is moving towards me. Not a game developer myself, but could it be that preloading more game resources fix this issue. Not so related, but avenger zombies sometimes run off screen and hit you from far, without you able to fight back, which does get game breaking |
