Information of the new weapons (done very quickly). Legend : DAMAGE / MAGAZINES / RELOAD / *RATE / *ACCURACY UMP 45 2.00 / 14 / 1.00 / 12.50 / 10 "Fast" version of MP5 (less ammunitions and more accurate). Steyr Aug 4.50 / 20 / 2.50 / 4.00 / 6 "Strong and slow" version of AK47. P90 **1.40 / 50 / 2.00 / 12.50 / 12 Look like a Famas but less accurate. Glock 18 3.00 / 11 / 1.00 / 4.00 / 2 "Light" version of Desert eagle (faster and less damage). About the wikia, I think we should keep the essential data in one table and the calculated data in another table. For the calculated one, there is already the DPS which use the "damage" and the "rate" and for the others we could have for example the continual DPS (including the reload), the continual rate, the "Time To Deal 40 HP" and some others stuffs. |

Using the stats listed on this thread / by +Laurent above, you need to find the combo that best works for your play style. (+Laurent does a good job summarizing each of the new weapons as well). You can also view each weapon on a sortable table on the wiki. As far as perk combination, I'd personally say not much has really changed (just keep in mind land mines do 10 less damage now). |

If you have a page about weapon info, you should add stuff about short/long term dps. Short term would just be the firing rate multiplied by the damage. Long term would be the damage over one whole clip divided by the firing time plus the reload time. Imo, both are needed to see which weapon is actually more worth using than the others, especially if you're doing something like killing with weapon 2, and playing during extended firefights. Here's what I calculated them to be (I used the wikia information): I actually checked out how viable each weapon is in long-distance combat, too. The results are surprising. I believe these are the kinds of situations we're looking at: DPS (short) - Very brief 1v1 encounters - SPAS-12 is the winner (by far) DPS (long) - Not sure what kind of situation is this - perhaps a weapon 2 is a good choice. The Desert Eagle takes this one. However, the .357 Magnum would defeat the Desert Eagle, as it has space to duck, whereas the deagle cannot at its fastest rate of fire. Long distance DPS (short) - Campy 1v1 or small group battles where the players are avoiding getting close - UMP 45 wins, surprisingly, though it is made bad by its very low ammo. The Famas is the next best, so is the better option to go with. The M4 A1 would defeat the Famas, if the owner of the Famas is not a good aimer, or the M4 A1 owner is ducking. Long distance DPS (long) - Big skirmishes from long distances, with lots of players. The Steyr Aug is the best choice, because again the UMP 45 is topping this list but has low ammo. Calculating the long DPS of low rate weapon is different from fast rate weapon. For example in the case where we take the weapon which have the lowest rate, the M40 A5 and which have 7 ammunitions (to make the calculation easier).
Once the reload is over, the player can shot again right after that, which mean the weapon do a period of 7 seconds. This is the way I calculate the long DPS (in general):
The only difference is about the total time, which look like that:
And thus the long DPS of the sniper would be 10.07 instead of 8.81. |

I kept trying but I never got that 10.07. The long dps calculation is exactly the same for both types of weapons. To explain this, I'll show it to you visually, with a theoretical 4 bullet magazine weapon. Reload Bullet ------- Bullet ------- Bullet ------- Bullet Reload Bullet ------ Bullet ------ Bullet ------- Bullet Reload .... So between reloads for a theoretical 4 magazine gun, we need to consider 3 timeframes between shots (i.e. time for one bullet, or 1/(Rate)) and then the extra reload time. The behaviour of the reload is exactly the same for all the guns, it isn't any different for a fast or slow weapon. This is what Tig's data basically tells us. Seems pretty similar to what I obtained. Some minor differences. The data basically says that the only king of weapon 1 is the ump-45. @Tigrounette *check Uzi reload time...* The reload time doesn't match with the description. It look like the decimal part is cut... Does the precision is exprimed in percentage? And if it's the case, could this percentage be multiplicated by 60°? |

I have no idea what the precision is, but I estimated that the precision needed to always hit a distant target is 20, and I just used fractions after that. And yeah, having a look at that uzi reload time seems a bit fishy. Regardless, the uzi is only a good digging weapon, it doesn't do the best at all in offense. |

The minimum and the maximum value of the precision is 0 and 100 respectively. The M40 A5 has the value 0 and 0 degree of accuracy which is pretty obvious. The SPAS-12 has the value 100 and 60 degree around. I assumed that the percentage was multiplicated by the maximum of the variation degree. In that case, I assume my calculations are still mostly ok.. since the precisions still differ by the same proportions. But yeah, looks like that's how the weapons stack up when you consider everything non-skilled about the game. Tig's made little errors in his data in the past. I should probably change those reloads to your data. But the dpm was already calculated, and you just divide it by 60 to get the long dps.. Dernière modification le 1407621240000 |
