Fewfre a dit : For the Fire Rate, there are only 3 weapons that are easy to check the rate (the first assault rifle, the sniper and the shotgun). The others weapons could be found but are very hard to determine the exact value (unless they put all the weapon infos in the next update). Fewfre a dit : The life point of the character you see are decimal disguised in an integer, they just cut the decimal part to look like an integer (they also adjust the value to 1-40 or you would see someone with 0 HP). By only showing the integer, it wouldn't be too tedious to see the HPs and the damages. |

+laurent a dit : To rephrase, I'm curious if the decimal/remainder (say 0.5) is remembered by target, or by gun? I'm curious as it does seem possible to get a 11 with Sniper even on someone with 40 health, so the decimal doesn't seem to necessarily "stack" on the target, or there's another factor. Fewfre a dit : Well, it's actually easier the way it's is calculated. The data type of the HP is not an integer, remebering the decimal would only make the calculation more complicated. Thus they bascially use the floating point for the HP. But they show the HP without formatting, it would be really hard to read the HP (seeing the decimal that change every time you get hit could make you sick). So they cut the decimal part to show only the necessary (as I already told you). And to answer your question, the decimal part are keep in the HP. Dernière modification le 1403622960000 |

If interested, I tried explaining this here. However I'm not sure how clear it is, and I would love your input (or just feel free to edit it yourself. No account needed if you don't want to make one). I also gave a shot at doing all the weapon firing rates using a stopwatch (so hopefully that's little more exact than before), and converted damages to decimals (although the Famas is kinda weird). |

Oh... I think my explanation wasn't very clear (or too tedious by itself) because you don't know how the computation work. To perform the damage on a character, we "only" need to do one instruction (in general) and showing the HP in the screen has 1 function used (using the formatting). They is no need to remember the decimal since it's handled automatically. The firing rate look pretty good but it's better to give 2 or 3 decimals instead one so it's would be more accurate. The famas deals "5/3" damage which means 1.667 because shooting all the magazines in a VIP will always deals 50 damages. "full damage" / "magazines" => 50 / 30 = 5 / 3 ~= 1.667 EDIT: In the link you give about the Health in Forteresse Wikia, is this such thing happened in the beta? I only know the game one month after it's coming out. Dernière modification le 1403692320000 |

When I say remembered as decimals on the page, I just mean that the number being stored is a decimal (or since it's Flash a Number), I don't mean the decimal is kept track of separately (unlike what I meant earlier, which I admit wouldn't make much sense). As far as firing rate having more decimals, that's not very useful unless the numbers can actually be that much more exact I think? I've been meaning to try taking a video of it, and actually checking the exact time beginning-to-end it would take frame to frame. For Famas damage, I found it by doing 3 1/3 magazines (total of 100 shots) into a VIP. At 30 it does do 50, but at 60 it does 101, and at 90 152. At 100 it does 169. I checked 2 times. If you mean about showing zero health and still living, I admit I also started playing about a month after it first came out. I got that from here, and based on how many people mentioned it assumed it to be true. I did forget to include this link as a reference though, doing that now. |

Fewfre a dit : I think it's better to not complicated about how the HP work... Fewfre a dit : The sniper has 1.5 secondes of delay between shoots, so saying it's "0.67" than "0.7" could be a little more accurate (30 ms is even significant, that's 2 frames at most). Fewfre a dit : I don't know either why it would deal a little more in a long term so saying it deals 1.67_ damages is easy to read. I will try to check more accurately later (or not). Fewfre a dit : Oh, I might see this but I already forgot about that. |

Updated the sniper fire rate, and look forward to your damage check should you decide to do it. |

I was wrong when I said that the Famas would deals 1.667 damages. :/ According to the result made from getting the HP after every shot, the bullet damage of the Famas is the following:
It's very near to 1.7 but not exactly. If it was really 1.7 damages, it would deal 51 damages after 30 ammunitions but do 50,xxx actually (very near to 51 but below). So to simplify this, let's say it's does 1.7 damages. Another remark about the Armory (of wikia), some value of the accuracy and the reload aren't correct (for the time being of course). EDIT: Here the other values: Legend: WEAPON (RELOAD (second) / ACCURACY (degree)) M4 A1 (3 / 5) MP5 (2 / 15) SPAS 12 (3 / 60) AK 47 (3.5 / 8) Famas (2.5 / 5) M40 A5 (3 / 0) G36C (2.5 / 10) AN94 (2.5 / 2) M60 (5 / 20) Beretta 9mm (1 / 2) .375 Magnum (4 / 8) Desert Eagle (2 / 2) Uzi (1.5 / 12) Also, this is what I got concerning the fire rate of the secondary weapon (they are all approximative though). Beretta 9mm*: 6 I managed to shoot all ammuntions in 2.7 seconds around. [ 16/2.7 ~= 5.93 ~= 6 ] .375 Magnum*: 1.67 Shoots 6 in 3 seconds. [ 5/3 ~= 1.67 ] Desert Eagle*: 3 Shoots 9 in 2.7 seconds around. [ 8/2.7 ~= 2.96 ~= 3 ] Uzi: 12.5 There is not much ambiguity, it shoots mostly at the same rate that the others with high rate (MP5 and Famas). *: Since the first ammunition is shot at 0 second, it doesn't take count in the calculation. EDIT2: Add unit for the reload and the accuracy. Dernière modification le 1403864220000 |

I'll take your word about the fire rates, especially for the non-automatics; I'm very bad at clicking fast with just one hand. I'm surprised how off I was with / slow at clicking with the Beretta though 0.o Changed the Famas damage to 1.7, with a reference note attached. Thanks for checking the reload times as well, I had just done a quick test some time back, and didn't notice they were that little bit off on some of them; nice catch. I'm curious though, how are you coming up with the number for the accuracy? Is it the degrees it can fire within? |
0 | ||
Finally good to see some people who are figuring out the HP is split in fractions. Degrees would definitely be a good measure of accuracy. |

Fewfre a dit : I use a technic that allow me to click at least 10 times per second. Fewfre a dit : The reference said the damage is 1.699115 but this is not true actually. Since the damage is take from a measure, I can't only get a range of value which is [1.699115, 1.7[. Fewfre a dit : Yes, it's in degree. I don't think everybody would be familiar with the radian. |

Solfn a dit : I embarrassingly didn't figure it out until trying to understand just how perks works (specifically the shield). I didn't realize weapons worked that way until +Laurent pointed it out (I can be a little slow sometimes =p) +Laurent a dit : Oh, I understand what you meant now, my mistake. Updated the wiki. +Laurent a dit : Just confirming so I don't make a bad assumption. Converted the wiki gun accuracy column to degrees. You really know what your doing when it comes figuring out stats ^.^ |

That's because I wanted to know the specificity of each weapon in detail, especially the assault rifles which look alike between them (it doesn't concern me because I bought the sniper first). After that, I can calculate the DPS and others stuffs... |

wolfclawgem a dit : It is not possible to shoot through your own blocks (conj); all conj will stop a bullet, no matter who makes it. |
0 | ||
There are three cases when a bullet will apparently go through blocks. 1) The game thinks a player is in a position where there is a wall between you two, when in fact they are in a position where they are able to shoot you. (Glitching) The game autocorrects by making the player's bullets pass through walls from the glitched point. 2) Causing a glitch that makes bullets pass through walls 3) Players shooting through your blocks because your blocks haven't registered as appearing in the game. Wolfclawgem is probably talking about 1). It will appear that bullets come through walls but it is impossible to make bullets pass through walls that are harmful to other players. If you see this happen, check where the other player is glitching from if possible. If they are glitching from somewhere that isn't inside a wall, you should leave the room and come back to fix this problem. If there is some solid object nearby that seems to be causing the glitch, shoot it away and it should stop. a) A platform that a player is repeatedly falling through b) Players zipping around chaotically in underground locations Every 2 seconds the player will reset back to their glitched location. The initial point they teleport back into is where the glitch is occurring. Dernière modification le 1405917300000 |
