Epalk a dit : Oh someone said salazzles were pretty good but ok then.... |

salazzle is great in a sun/moon playthrough team but competitively, not really unless you have support. it's weak to a lot of things. when it gets fake out, maybe it will be neat in doubles. toxapex, garchomp, rock types, special attack walls like oranguru, etc. stop salazzle hard :( but it's really good at beating most ultra beasts and tapus with its moves so maybe try to find something that can get rid of salazzle's threats and then when they're gone, salazzle can sweep |

1. Make sure your team has the desired IV's - Here's info - If you "sacrifice" one of the stats so it isn't flawless/best, make sure it isn't the type of moves your pokemon will learn/use - example of the above statement: my decidueye is 31/31/31/25/31/30, I was okay letting the special attack "suffer" because I don't intend on using any special attack type moves (look at it's moveset, all physical attacks for a grass starter?!!) 2. Look into EV training to get the best out of the stats you want. - EV =/= IV - Here's a link you should definitely read (I learned things reading over this just now), here's another specific to sun and moon - you can also use serebii to help with that, by looking up what pokemon give what EV's on the pokedex pages. I find a route that's near the beginning of the game and go from there (there's no point battling level 30-60 pokemon for stat when you can battle something under level 20 for the same ev's). generally, if you think of a pokemon as fast or as one with strong defense, etc, that's the EV it would give. - Examples from route 1 in sun/moon: pikpik and spinarak and yungoos give 1 attack point, ledyba 1 sp defense, pichu 1 speed and caterpie gives 1 hp point. The first link I put in this section gives more examples at the bottom of its page. - I'm also 95% sure having experience share turned on shares the EV's with your entire party, but I'm not positive. - There are also EV reducing berries - pomeg, kelpsy, qualot, hondew, grepa and tomato - In Sun/Moon, you can use the shops - restaurants and bouncy houses - in Festival Plaza to train or reset specific EV's for Festival Coins. - Make sure you have pokérus from the beginning of training, they gain stats faster :) 3. If you're up for breeding the pokemon in question: - Learn about egg groups. - Use the GTS to find a parent if you don't already have the species. - consider training a ditto to level 100 to use bottle caps to perfect it's IV's, or chain one for at least 3-4 perfect ones to start breeding with - I've found it works best to breed yourself a bunch of dragon pokemon (Bagon, Dratini, Gible, Goomy, etc) or version exclusives and just offer them on the GTS for what you want. It's quicker and less frustrating than looking at all the requests for level 91+ pokemon or legendaries. Make sure to give 'em something good, so you're not ripping off the recipient. Like good Iv's or an awesome egg move. - Breed for Natures, IV's, and possibly egg moves. It'll take a little bit of time depending on how into familiar you are already, but the IV's and nature combo will TOTALLY be worth it. Stock up on everstones to pass down a nature from a parent to the offspring. 5. Breed for Egg Moves - link - Male parents can pass moves down to the offspring. If you want a move the pokemon learns quicker before evolving, learn it on pokemon A, breed it onto pokemon B, and raise up B. B being the pokemon you'll actually use. If you're going competitive you'll want the max stat gains for your punch, so let everything evolve when it wants to, don't hold 'em back, so the stats will go higher. I personally have "egg move buddies" in a box all to themselves, where I've stored up great egg moves on male pokemon for use whenever I'd like. 6. SUCCESS. As for what pokemon to use on your team, best of luck. I always just use pokemon I like, but good ones in generation 7 are salazzle, like you said, bewear, and that horrifying thing wimpod evolves into. I can give you a nearly flawless Stufful with 3 egg moves if you'd like, just to give you a starting point. Psst Epalk do you ahve any of those Popplio's left over? sbookiest, i've put over a box full of lv65 celesteelas asking for a lv100 celesteela and half of the time i get 6iv battle ready celesteelas back. people really really want celesteela since it's so good. people also ask for lv100 celesteelas on the gts a lot of the time so it's a good "trade slave" |

Epalk a dit : If you have a box full can I have just 1? I need the dex entry! Also, how do you have a box full??? I tried to trade for a lunala on the gts and the game disconnected for unknown reasons, and now I can't trade at all. No time estimate or anything, so it's sad. |

the ultra beasts for sun are pretty ugly compared to moon... also idk how to make my pheromosa better because i really want her on my team because shes so pretty and i planned on her bein in my team before i even got the game but she dies so easily.... |

I have a box full since I've been searching for celesteela (and pretty much every pokemon in the dex) constantly and taking the trades asking for things like lv100 ditto (which i also take the time to search for on gts), regular celesteela, and really random pokemon (completing your pokedex is a huge help since now you theoretically could handle any trade on the gts) like seaking/mareanie/abra. And sure. what's a good time? Something everyone should know is that people are actually very nice and have giveaways on the gts often. everyday lv100 anything are usually offered for easy to get mons. The key is to be very fast and patient. If you one day want to find a shiny lv100 raichu on the gts that is legal, you're gonna have to be pressing the search button maybe every few seconds so that you can get the newest trade offer asap. People also like asking for lunala/solgaleo which you should search the gts for, too lol. I used to get communication errors a lot on the gts but thankfully that's rare for me now. It's devastating when you know that you could've gotten a shiny decidueye but you fail to make the trade |

Yeah, I hadn't gotten an error yet, but I'm annoyed it doesn't even give a timer because I wonder trade out my breeding rejects nightly. Aaah, I'll take a little bit of time to search and I'll refresh and such, but most of the time I'm just like "whenever bank gets updated I'll have all this" so I only bother so much. And because I spend HOURS wonder trading, I've gotten all the trade evolutions from gts "giveaways" or just nice human beings, which is why I make sure not to re-wonder trade the shit that I receive, I just release it if I can't train it a few levels to make it have some value. But I'd love that celesteela whenever you're free (once I can get back onto the GTS >.<) I'll be free most last nights all weekend, which seems to be okay because your posts are the same hours as mine (up until this one) |
