Oh gosh. See, this is what happens when they let 9 year olds make threads. If someone curses, so what. I don't like cursing but I don't shout to my friends, "AMG STOP CURSING STOP SAYING DIRTY WORDS ;;;;;;". I don't push my beliefs into their faces. Also, this is the like the fifth 'bad language' thread already. It's been discussed time and time again. If they say f***, so what? |

Maraoone a dit : Why we do this. because it a problem and tranceform mice is a very negative envirement. It promote insult and ridicules and taunting of mice. this leads to cyberbullying which has very seriouse impact on real life people whos life is ruined due ot low self confidence and esteeme. Even if your not bullied it very unpleasent to be called nub/nob/newbie/idiot an so on. We will not accept or tolerate it. Advise to you all if your being the target of this ignore them, OD not start a discussion with them they just want to make you upset or start a falmming war (calling each otehr bad stuff endlessly) You cna once ask them to stop but no mor than that. then ignore them or change room. If they persue you repot them. Do not have them as friends as then they can see where you go. To the watchers say NO, tell them it is not okay to curse and name calling people in this game say it is not okay and stop it if they continue report them ban (kick them from the room it is okay) or simply ignore them. DO not start a huge fight shouting at each other they will just enjoy it. This has always been a problem in transformice I do not see the langue become better or worse and it is people of all ages doing it both children teenager and adults. Be nice and respectfull to each other it cannot be said enough times. |

Taking it and agreeing with it is two different things. Just becauser your 15-19 years old and want to seem cool does not mean others with a respectfull attitude should bend to it. |

Excuse my little rant here. I like to type :3 To be honest, inappropriate language and disrespect is the problem of the whole Internet, not only transformice. If young users don't pick up swears on transformice, they will do that on different sites. This would not be a problem of the game or staff, WE are the ones that caused this. People tend to spill out their anger at people on the Internet because they don't or can't do it in real life. They keep the anger inside and yell at randoms in game, since you can't just go and do it face to face. You won't see their reaction, you don't care if they get hurt because you don't see/know them. Most of us are different in the electronic life and we act differently than in real life. When a kid sees an older person swearing and posting inappropriate terms all over the chat, the kid will follow the user's steps. You can influence young people pretty easily and they think it's cool to cuss because older people do that too. Of course, I feel very sad seeing how some young kids change since they've been using The Internet and playing this game. I'd be able to give you a few examples, but naming them would not be appropriate at all. They used to be cute, little mice, playing around and having fun with friends, but then they wanted to be like the rest so they can get on well with them and create a new friendship. Their behavior completely changed, they're rude, they insult and they're the example of the 'people don't respect people they can't meet' statement. In my opinion, the staff is doing pretty well trying to improve the situation. You all should be thankful, we have the language filter, we can ignore players, mods mute people when they break the rules. Maybe the system still needs a bit of an improvement, the filter could be updated a bit. But I believe the staff and Atelier 801 is doing their best to protect the younger ones. Even if mods are just volunteers, they're not paid for it. If there's a kid younger than 13, then that is not a problem of the company. The Terms and Conditions of use clearly state that kids under the age of 13 need a parents/guardian approval to create an account since this is a 13+ game. It is only their responsibility to make sure their kid is not playing any inappropriate game for its age. What else would you suggest? |

Back in the day it used to be that if several people ignored or muted some user (by /ignore or /mute), they'd get a silent mute for the entire server. This meant that they could type and send chat, but no one would actually receive it. These silent mutes could also be handed out by staff members personally. They would give no warning whatsoever and would be gone as soon as the user relogged. However, these have been removed, as they don't really teach the user anything. They often don't realize they've been muted and when they do, they get angry (of course), since they probably already were angry and because they've apparently been sending chat into thin air. While I agree with removing that, I think the system of getting someone muted for everyone if enough people ignore the user was good in essence. What the previous system lacked was a reason (even something like "Mute Populaire" would be great) and a time limit (1 hour? or even 10 minutes?) rather than "in effect until you relog". tl;dr: a mute populaire would both make the /mute command more popular and solve a lot of the problems presented. |

I am assuming that Lemo's mute populaire idea would be only a mute in the specific room (Sorry I am wrong ^^' ) but in that case I think the vote ban is enough and the room would be able to get rid of the player completely. Once we have vote ban, I don't feel like vote mute is that necessary. And I have to agree with that removal. I think it's always better to let the user know what they did so they learn their lesson. I know that it might be only my feeling, but muting someone like that is a bit disrespectful. They kept wasting time posting in the chat and nobody could see it anyways :/ I know that I'd be a bit angry with getting muted and not knowing about it than getting muted and seeing the reason. |

Lemodile a dit : And also throw up tens of new problems. "Oh look person I dont like is online!" *gets 5/6 friends to /mute or /ignore them* Now that person is muted for an hour for doing nothing and can't even contact a Moderator in game to help them with the situation. System's fine as it is now, people just need to learn to use ignore. |

Before I played this game, I was in another one were everything was pink, sweet and colorful. When I came in this one I was hit and I opened my eyes. I don't like to see people swear, but really it is their decision. A little bit dangerous because people are easily influenced (I mean, 3 bad persons influence more a group than 3 good ones). But if you really wish to protect yourself simply learn to ignore, leave, go in a place you think is better for you, refrain from doing that things. Also, as others said, staff do their best about that. |

Lewbot a dit : How is this different from the vote populaire? Either way, @Sabs, room specific sounds reasonable enough. Guess that would also get rid of the not being able to contact staff issue. The problem is that people often don't find language worth it to kick people out of the room for an hour. A mute could (or should) be as short as 10 minutes, yet still get the message across ("cool down bro"). If only the muted user gets a notification, the amount of people ganging up to mute people should also be reduced. Still, it's only a possible solution to a very real issue. There are 1001 ways to deal with it and I understand perfectly well that not everyone sees things the way I do. Since I have no intentions of hijacking the thread I'll stop defending my idea from here :P I might make a thread regarding it in the suggestions section later. |

Lemodile a dit : Room specific would be good in that regard, but we don't need anything, /ignore works just fine. |
