Update for Hungary We have 525 cases, 40 recoveries and 20 deaths, they are mostly old and all of them had chronic diseases. Also we have a partial curfew between 28th March - 11th April. This means we can only go outside with a good reason. The elders can do any important things (shopping, and like that) only between 9 am - 12 pm, only if its urgent. In my county (Pest) we have 98 cases, the second highest number in Hungary (below Budapest). I'm lucky that I'm inside all day so I rarely meet with others. And yeah, stay home and stay safe. |

@sonikkuro we have a similar thing in california. no one can go outside unless it’s related to exercise or getting essential items. our school has also recently been put online for the rest of the year so that’s kinda scary. i’m hoping that the virus doesn’t get as bad as it is predicted to get here, which is something i never expected to say but i truthfully mean it. |

Little update for Indiana again. - Quarantine has been increased to June 1st, 2020. - 12th graders/seniors will be given their remaining credits as long as they were enrolled for the 2nd semester. (Means I'll be able to graduate, yay) - They are currently trying to work something out for those in K-11, it is not known whether or not kids will have to repeat a grade/semester or not. - They are currently working on making sure high school seniors will be able to walk the stage for graduation. - E-learning has been extended to the rest of the year. - There's approximately 2,200 people who have tested positive. - 78 of those who tested positive have died. Another update: - E-learning will only last for 20 days starting April 13th. - Due to the e-learning, school will basically end on May 8th. Dernière modification le 1585983900000 |

Aghh In my state we have 16,309 cases and 309 deaths as of yesterday. We're under a mandatory stay-at-home order (which is similar to a lockdown) until the 30th. Schools are closed until further notice (meaning it's going to be a pain to do online work because teachers don't know crap about online usage) |

Some little update for Hungary (if it counts as little 2 weeks later) - We have 1458 cases, 120 recoveries and 109 deaths, all of them had chronic illnesses. (Source) (as of today) There are 214 cases in my county. - They extended the stay at home order (the partial curfew thing) for an indefinite period. And the town councils can add more restrictions when its necessary. Such as the tourists can't go into the town or only the townspeople can enter the town. - The final exam isn't necessary in this year, only if we want to. - An old people's home in Budapest became a center of the disease. They're ordered to disinfect the things in the building. There are 198 cases and 8 deaths there. - The most modern mobile hospital in Europe has done in Kiskunhalas, and Viktor Orban, the prime minister visited the place. |

Figured I would post some new developments from the USA on COVID-19. More specifically, the west coast but I will also mention the USA more generally. As many know, the Trump Administration hasn’t put any national orders in place locking down the United States and instead has left it up to the governors of each state. They have also not done anything really about ventilators or masks, leaving it up to the states competing with one another for masks and ventilators. This is why there are not as many ventilators or masks. This is older news that most people know. Well, a bunch of people decided to contact people for masks and were surprised to find a combined 39 million masks. However, this turns out to be a scam. Now you may ask, how was this exposed as a fraud? Turns out, the federal government has been seizing masks all this time from states in need. I recommend you check out these articles— especially the one from the LA Times— they’re both interesting. Anyways, since there has been no response, states have basically formed mini governments on each side of the country. California, Oregon, and Washington are all working together to stop the spread and on the east coast New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts are doing similarly. ———— Will update more as more comes out. So much is going on that it’s hard to keep up. |

Nevada here-- we have close to 3,000 cases confirmed and about 112 deaths. Only a few cases in my small city, thankfully. Scary because I'm higher risk of contracting it and dying from it, which sucks a lot ):< I hope you're all staying safe, especially for those of you who have so many more cases than we do here. Just remember that we're all gonna get through this <3 stay safe bc I love you all, dum dums |

I'm just happy testing has finally improved. The original testing criteria guidelines in my state were absurd, but I can see why they were limiting tests. There's several clinical trials going on right now, but in my opinion none of these are viable options. The hospital I work at is currently using the Azithro + Hydroxycloroquine combo x5 days. Isn't really showing the best results. I'm in the state of Missouri, we have 35 cases alone at my hospital, 17 of whom are on ventilators. Over 1000 cases in my city. They've also opened up a motel and staffed it with nurses for patients requiring hospital care, but not severe enough to be ICU status. I just wonder if this'll last 2 years like SARS did. |

I've been home for almost two months. Everything here in my city is closed, only pharmacies, super markets and banks that are open. And I think this situation is terrible. My school is going through various activities, including I don't even know how the exams will take place. In my city it has surpassed the mark of 700 cases and with each passing minute there are more and more cases. The worst thing is that when I leave the house "out of necessity" I see MANY people walking on the streets as if nothing has happened. People walking their pets ... And I am incredulous at how those people do that knowing everything that is going on, at the risk of getting the virus. |

For those who are going to Black Lives Matter protests: As a supporter of the movement and as someone appalled by George Floyd’s death, I understand how it feels not being out there to support your brothers and sisters hurt by cops and police officers. I just want to say you have every right to protest but you should remember the pandemic is still going on. If you are going to these marches, just remember to wear a mask and stay 6 ft apart from everyone. Obviously, you won’t be able to do this all the time but it is important to keep yourself safe for the sake of yourself and others. Those who experience asthma and other diseases and health problems that make you vulnerable to COVID-19 should definitely do their best to keep 6 ft apart or stay home. There are many other ways to show your support. Here’s a carrd on what you can do as an individual fighting for equality. I stand with you in this fight and I am actually going to attend a protest myself tomorrow. Happy pride month and remember to stay safe and abide by the CDC guidelines. |
