Sydoline a dit : Well that feels a bit off to me. It seems more logical that to reward dedicated shamans, the items would be obtainable through shamaning itself. Players don't need to shaman to get cheese, they can just go to racing, or defilante, or even vanilla and normal rooms, since they don't technically have to shaman there either. The prices are quite large, in my opinion. If I wanted to buy and customize just two balloons with cheese, that would cost like, 14,000 cheese. Let's say it takes about a week (give or take) to an average or slightly above average player to get 1,000 cheese. So it would take about.. 3 months to get 14,000? All that for two balloons? I'm fine with furs being super expensive, but I don't think we need more super expensive items.. Of course, this is all just my opinion so.. please don't be offended |

| The prices are ridiculous as to be expected, but I didn't think they'd be as ridiculous to even go as far to change customization prices. To buy an entire set with cheese and customize it, it would take up to 44,500 cheese to do so. That's a huge number for a new player, and even an older casual player. Saying new players aren't going to be interested in shaman is a big, big mistake. When I first joined the game being shaman is all I wanted to do and as soon as a new player see's these items being used by another sham, they're gonna want them their selves. There's just a lot of things wrong with this update, and to be honest it probably would have been better not happening at all if you weren't even going to try and make it based towards being shaman. Musicaholic a dit : It would take 3 months and a half, but yeah. For just 2 balloons. Now if that's considered a "thank you for being involved"... I don't know. And as Shadowwinter said, 44k cheese is a LOT even for me, and I joined almost 4 years ago. That's more than half the cheese required to get the last cheese title. | Something which I noticed quite quickly is the following (going in on the argument about the new players and old players): The moment I spawned customised objects as a shaman. All newbie's started whispering me and asking me how to get those. And when I told them, they would react quite negatively towards the prices. Not really the fraises, since they couldn't seem to care less about that. But the cheese price. This makes it thus very interesting for new players, but will it negatively effect growth? Hmm, not sure. Seeing how the prices for fraises are really high I doubt many would spend theirs on that. However does it change the balance of the purchases. Since a new player might save money up for a object decoration, and then force himself not to buy anything else. This is what I usually refer to as "The grind", setting yourselfs limits and urging to get something. The problem with the grind is that you will start ignoring all things that prevent you. Such as buying outfits and looking somewhat decent. Having people go into grinding can be good for players to value their items, but it can also make the game seem less interesting since they tend to get a fixed mindset. And the game can become dull quite easily. This is especially noticeable if you think about the performance and visual display. Of course if you play on lowest settings with simple textures and everything turned off, the game will run much better. And if the game runs better you can win more easily. But now your game is absolutely shit and you are playing something that isn't even worth looking at. So why? the grind. So there is the grinding problem. And there is also the *smack in the face* price issue. Once you get a object with fraises for the first time. I personally assumed, customisation 20 fraises.... NOPE it's 150. This is probably done to prevent neon colours... but we all know players are going to use the most painful disturbing colours to troll the poop out of the other players. However they paid a bit of money, so its okay to blind everyone else. But then going back on the 150 fraises, this can result in pissing people off due to a consistency issue. Every customisation is 20 fraises, so people tend to generalise it that its the same everywhere. When people discover this isn't the case and they have to pay 7.5x as much to customise something. This will be really annoying. Especially since the price in cheese is the same as the others. This can lead to the feeling of punishment for purchase. Look out with those. About high prices in general, I am for it. It adds a long term goal. However it can't go at the cost of other things. Also Sydoline points out that involvement is shown by cheese and fraises. Indeed these are visible statistics and easily read, however they show an illusive truth. Which in term doesn't even have to be the truth. Lets say a player has a lot of cheese, this means they either play a lot. Or they grind a lot, or they play rather efficiently. That can make a decent statement, however there is no form of accuracy. Then there is fraises, this shows either how much they care or want something in the game. Or how rich their parents are, or in general how much they don't care about money. It does show of course, hey they want to pay real money to get something in game. Although personally I find that most kids aren't really aware of the concept money and how to work with it. But that is questionable of course. But does this really show everything? If you want to have a clear understanding of how much a player is involved you would have to ask each and everyone of them. Then again, they could tell the false truth and that's bad as well. So even if they would do that, it would not be helpful to say the least. In general you need to look at all numbers, and make relationships between them. Amount of saves, high firsts. If you combine these relations, you can find out what kind of player someone is. Still vaguely but more accurately. The problem is even though its more accurate. There is a big part of the community that just doesn't apply to all this. Some people idle around, some people do bootcamp all day, some are just online to talk, some are playing minigames where no normal stats count. These might cause a problem. Enough going in on how you rate involvement. There is the other mayor mistake. That I personally find should be addressed to say the least. I mentioned earlier that people will start giving up things to get something else more better more expensive. The grind. So now you are giving another option in the shop which is paid with ...cheese? Everything shaman related is paid with things earned through shamaning. You have the experience, you get skills. And mice gather things for themselves. But now all a sudden you have to pay cheese to upgrade your shamaning (even if its visual). If they made it so you had to get it through shamaning, it wouldn't mess with cheese. It would allow people to still get their outfits, and do their thing. And it wouldn't force the grind upon players. Why did they make the price cheese? Fraises I can understand, that's a all-round currency that fits all. So my advise to tfm, you don't have to lower the prices, they are fine. However you need to switch the currency to a collective that you gather as a shaman. |

Impuredeath a dit : The cheese price for customizations is not the same, it's 4k cheese as opposed to 2k cheese. I agree with everything you said, too. The question now is, will they make changes according to the problems we all showed, or will they just ignore everything like they did with outfit slots and many other things in the past? |

| I totally agree with Impure a lot of people go into the grind already for many items. The problems for these players are that they play a lot for short amounts of time, but when they reach their goal they don't have any point in playing and just quit. Through my years in the game I have seen this happen to so many, so I feel like adding more things that requires grinding might have negative effects. Also, some people like me have a goal of getting everything in the shop, and I have had this goal ever since I started playing. It has never really been a main priority, but always something I have wanted to do. Now with all the new expensive things getting added I won't spend the money on fraises simply because it's too expensive to get everything so why bother buying parts of it. So you should also think about this when adding new things. |

Impuredeath a dit : Yes to all of that- I've kind of forced myself into the 'grind' way too many times already, because I wanted nice items, customizations or certain stats- So I know what you're talking about. After going through it so many times, it's quite indeed become, dull- as you say. It feels like as time goes on, TFM keeps pushing those players that can't buy frasies (for what ever reason there may be) in to just more and more torturous grinding that never seems to cease. I admit that in the past it felt quite accomplishing to earn an item or customization, it really did. But now it just feels like a mere ending to a terrible grind. I wish that would just change for once, but I've lost hope that TFM will ever listen. |

| Just please keep customized cannons out of survivor unless the designs leave the arrows very easy to see. I can already foresee a design where the arrows will be almost impossible to see and that will completely ruin the game. Edit- I wrote this before I realized we can customize colors too. Then there is no way customized cannons will work in survivor. People will abuse this to death making arrows and the cannon balls themselves the same or similar colors. | Many people may disagree with me on this, but the most horribly FRUSTRATING thing is when people simply pick up whatever they want with fraises. I worked for weeks to get my fur while a friend of mine was simply gifted fraises as a birthday present and has many, many more items than me. There was no work involved. However, I am a very, very good shaman for how long I have been playing. I save at least 3/4 of the room every time I shaman and I have a mass amount of saves that would be wonderful to be able to put to use. I work for my saves, I should be able to use them as currency on shamming items, at least. Titles get dull after a while. Cheese grinding becomes tiring. Shamaning, for me, is fun. I get excited when I get to shaman. Saves are a good showing of how good you are as a shaman, which is what these items should be for in the first place, not a simple pluck up with fraises or cheese people already had backed up in their inventory from months of finding nothing they wanted to buy. |

| I agree ^ I always considered using frasies as cheating, doesn't it kind of ruin the whole point of the game? |
