Yeah, I know. But "testing" someone in a real situations and real problems may show how good is he/she or if he is worth for mapcrew. That is what I was trying to say.

Yeah, that is how it should be, but I made my opinion which is based on your selections for new mapcrew's members. It is that you pick only "famous" people ingame for the mapcrew. That is what I see. Correct me If I am wrong, If so - I am sorry.

If by famous you mean "famous map makers" it's because generally they are the ones who know map editor and how to fix some problems with maps. If you mean another kind of famous i do not agree. I didn't even know brown before his app.

By famous, I don't mean only "famouse map makers". Because you could be not famous, but have more skills or have as them, if you are not famous too. So I don't agree that they should pick only "famous" people and don't give chance to the others to prove themselves. As it is known, they could be fired If they cannot do their duties well, or they are bad, etc.. But It is not fair, in my eyes.

EDIT: In addition, you said that you need a people who can judge well and be a good map makers is an "extra"(addition) which the most people have.

Also, Pik is not a mapmaker and happens to be a complete nobody. I've personally never heard of Jraton or Jzhang prior to their hirings either, and Browndown is a name I've seen perhaps once prior. I don't believe this is a popularity contest, it just happens that people who are more involved in maps TEND to be so involved that you notice them more. It makes sense, doesn't it?

And about the popular mice being known by admins in the game. I think thejkb, and such are actually known by the admins. Some even had conversations with them, and others had maps featured by them while they were playing.

Also not the admins choose the mapcrew members. It is the mapcrew who chooses them. Which ofcourse includes moderators (the ones that feel like it).

@Zakros, I knew everything you said before you exactly did it. I know every fact you said! Did I say something about Impuredeath? If so, please correct me, because I cannot find it. And I said it, because I found(one or more people) who gave their's best on the applications and discussing the maps and were not accepted. When I saw what they have written, I was like "Er?". They provided more than 10 rows for a map and their advices and comments were great..


But you.. I don't know that word in English, so let me describe it. You try to look good, in front of the admins, but in fact - you are not. I mean, something like giving compliments, etc, just to be picked. That is what you did 2 posts ago. :)

Umm... wow. I just tried to help. I'm not trying to look good neither to make someone get impressed by me. Honestly, this really hurts... I regret making this long post. Sorry to know that I didn't provide good informations...
