Losing or gaining players because of updates?

Well yea, some updates usually bring more players, whenever the Halloween update is implemented, there will be an increase most likely.

I have noticed there have been many people leaving the game but there are still people that register everyday. Nowadays, I've seen the amount of mice that come in game are usually balanced at 35k-40k mice. But I remember in 2012 it was always balanced at 50k-60k mice and in that year Transformice beated their record of mice online(I don't remember well I think it was like 88k mice?). But as far in this year they haven't beaten their record.(Sorry if I'm wrong) I honestly haven't liked the updates as much but I guess I'm ok with it.

Maybe if you'd be patient and let them fix the bugs and get it working smoothly, you won't think that.

The Community Platform is new and of course filled with bugs like any new event or major update, such as the shaman update. The major bugs should be fixed this week hopefully.

Well, I think they're losing players, but there will always be new players. — that is unless Tfm totally dies, which i dont think it will

I do notice that too, but this is how most I'm-quitting scenarios go:

Scenario 1:

Mouse: I'm quitting, I'm tired of this game.
-10 minutes later-
Mouse has just connected.

Scenario 2:
Mouse: I'm quitting, tfm is getting boring.
-7 months later-
Mouse has just connected.
Mouse: Just checking back to see how tfm is doing.

Scenario 3:
Mouse: I'm done with tfm.
-never hear from them again-

Most people don't really "quit" just because they don't like something (most of them come back). I'm guessing that the people tfm are "losing" will get used to the update, or they are really just quitting forever. Yet, more players join transformice everyday, so the chances of it dying are quite slim at the moment.
