Don't know what Bouboum is? Type /room bouboum into your transformice chat to find out. I'm sure most of these will seem obvious to anyone who has played this type of game before but I'll put them in anyway for new players. Bomb types: Max fire: limited/only one allowed at a time. A maximum fire bomb ignores the user's current firepower and will stretch as far across the map as possible and deal block damage like the basic bomb. Remote control: A remote control bomb will only explode if it is detonated by the player who placed it, or if it comes into contact with the blast of another bomb. This bomb deals block damage like the basic bomb. I would suggest only limited for this otherwise people would just camp and wait for the poor souls to run straight into the line of fire. A single placement doesn't have much strategic use. Aoe: The Aoe (area of effect) bomb acts differently to the other bombs in that instead of stretching its fire out it compresses it into a square which cuts around corners and damages all blocks caught in its blast. Starting with a 3x3 grid of damage and for each 6 stages of flame powerups expands by 2, going to 5x5 at 6 firepower 7x7 at 12 and so on. This bomb should be only one allowed at a time due to it's destructive power, limited use could still be unfair in the hands of a mad spammer when the map starts shrinking. Powerups/Curses: Speed: I was really surprised when I didn't see this already in the game. The speed powerup slightly increases your speed and will max out at a certain point to stop players running around thinking they're Sonic the hedgehog. The speed powerup allows you to outflank slower foes, place more consecutive bombs safely but also be more prone to running into the blasts due to the increased pace. Slowdown: Temporarily reduces the players speed to 50% of the starting speed. Rapid fire: For a brief period the player will place bombs uncontrollably. Personally I hate the idea of this being every square you stand on you place a bomb, I would rather it be every second/half second you place a bomb so you're not doomed to die when you decided to invest in a million bomb powerups. Shield: The player gains a shield which can protect them from death once, the shield will eventually end even if not hit by a bomb. The shield is more of a bubble than a literal shield, the player is protected from every direction. Bomb kick: The player can kick bombs around, they will stop if they come into contact with any object, except for powerups/curses. Reverse: The players controls have been flipped, up is down, left is right. Temporary. Pacifism: The player cannot place or detonate any bombs temporarily. Invisibility: The player temporarily fades in and out of visibility, the player affected will also see this happening to their character. I would put this as a double edged sword because it helps to sneak up on people but also you can lose track of where you are, so I think it fits into curse quite nicely. Cursed: The player is given a random permanent negative status, however if they run through another player the status will be transfered to them, there should only be 1 or 2 of these per game. Changes: Skull bomb: I'd seriously make the skull bomb limited use because currently the strategy is to find that bomb as quickly as possible and then farm powerups. End game sequence: Instead of the blocks slowly moving in until the entire map is overtaken, a small area is left for any remaining players to fight for 30 seconds. If no player dies in that time then no winner is declared. Note: I understand that with games which aren't related to transformice I should contact the minigame owner. Bouboum however is created by Tigrounette so I'm not sure how I'd go about doing that other than using the forums. |

Nice suggestions, although the aoe bomb, I wouldn't want ruin the game style of bomber man. And the bomb kick, maybe another mode for the game? /Support for the rest |

I can remember a few games that used an aoe, but it was usually in games that also had a remote control bomb. Whilst detonating your bomb whenever you like can be fun, it's also gives you the opurtunity to sit in a little safe haven where no one can touch you. The beauty of the single placement aoe is that it can trigger remote control bombs without putting the player in harms way, but not being spammable so that it drastically alters the style of play. You're right though. The aoe takes a completely different approach as to how the bombs work which is a bit weird. I just think it works great as a counter to remote campers. |

I like these idea's! Also this: most bombs aren't very loved, the skull bomb is the one everybody wants. There should be bomb types that are actually wanted, for seperate reasons changing to the personal preferance of the player. |
