is it allowed to copy a p22 map that was made for me, as my own map? |

Perfecteca a dit : Yes that's fine as long as you export it as P22. However if you submit the copy map for a map submission thread and the original mapmaker later decides it's unacceptable for you to have copied the map they made for you, you could possibly get in a little bit of trouble. Dodue maps will count 3 cheeses in profile or will they fix it? What about maps that can be without a shaman? |
2 | ||
Qadori a dit : It seems like it won't be changed and it will be counted as +3 in your profile. As for maps 178, 179 and 180 they shouldn't have a shaman; it'll be fixed at the next reboot! Dernière modification le 1591958700000 |

what is the chance of a dodue map getting permed in racing? as far as i know there's currently no rule about it so i guess we can submit maps with dodue parameter in p17 thread? also, i think i can use the same map code with different or same xmls/maps in different submission threads - after it gets reviewed - can't i? Perfecteca a dit : I'm not part of racing mapcrew but in my opinion there shouldn't be a reason to deny maps with the dodue parameter since it is a relatively new feature so theres room for mapmakers to come up with some creative way to use it appropriately to fit the purposes of a racing map, so yes go ahead and submit maps with the dodue parameter for P17 unless we otherwise say so at a later date. But just like any other feature, don't just use it for the sake of trying to make your map different and special, only use it if you can come up with a clever way of making a fun and fair gameplay. Perfecteca a dit : Bit confusing how you've worded the question but long story short we don't want to see the same map submitted for us to review after it has been rejected without the mapmaker making some effort to address the reasons why it was rejected in the first place. If you weren't told why it was rejected you can try asking whoever did the review and if it was a review made by the Mapcrew account then you can just ask any public mapcrew to inquire about the reviewers decision for rejecting the map. The only exception to this would be if the reviewer tells you to submit the map to another category. As well as if it happens to be a map that you genuinely think is quite good and would work well as a P7 (no-shaman) and P17 (racing), since those two categories tend to be reviewed by completely different people who likely have little experience playing the other mode, but don't submit a map for P7, and then to P6 or P9 just because your map happens to fit the requirements of the category because they all play in the same rotation anyway (normal rooms). But in all these cases, only submit the map to one category first, wait for the review, and only after the review should you submit to another submission thread. |

Reshman a dit : sorry for not being very clear, i was actually talking about this case: let's take @a as my map code, @a got rejected from p7 i don't want to fix and resubmit it in p7 again, i give up so i completely changed @a, made a totally new and different map, maybe a p4 map so i am submitting the same map code but as a different map, in a different submission thread, p4 thread is it allowed? because there was a map of mine that was in 2016 vanilla contest, not winner. i erased the map years ago, and now i made some changes on it unconsciously and turned it into a suvivor map. and i already submitted it. |

Yup it is allowed, we absolutly do not check if the map code was used before and submitted somewhere else, we do not care about this kind of stuff. |

Why the crew never did a thread explaining what they would like to see in bootcamp rotation like was made for survivor? |
Bhvana « Censeur » 1594176480000

Ifo a dit : There actually is a thread for all the categories. |
1 | ||
Bhvana a dit : Yes, yes, it's a great thread, but it's not soooo complete as the survivor thread, has just the obvious tips. Would be great a complete guide, with other several differences between P3/P13, gameplay tips, minor details that makes a map being rejected, etc, etc, mainly in a category that so many maps are rejected without a feedback, like bootcamp. |

Do Vote Crew members get promoted to Map Crew automatically as they come of age or would they have to reapply? |

Syrius a dit : From what I remember, it's automatic (providing that they want to become a MC member, of course). |

Ifo a dit : It's definitly something we talked / still talk about sometimes and maybe one day these kind of threads will be done, although mapmakers need to understand we're always looking for new and enjoyable concepts. Having a detailed thread of what we're looking to in a category migh refrain creativity. Bhvana a dit : Lei is known as the invisible man and as such his profil pic is invisible no mistake here. Katow a dit : Thanks for the answer. Yes, I was thinking about that too. Maybe, for the creativity question, it's not a very good idea. But, at least, would be great if you guys send a feedback about the other maps in the bootcamp reviews cause has so many times that we has certain that a map will be disc, that got tested and worked well, looks great and in the end it's rejected without any explaining. At least a "generic" or a "frustrating", "very precise", don't need to be very detailed, would be so useful for us to know what to do at next time. Sometimes I (and probably other many mapmakers) feel like send a map for bootcamp review is a shot in the dark... srry bad englis Dernière modification le 1594646520000 |
