Forbid new accounts using VPNs |

How feasible is that? |

You don't understand how it can be a problem when somebody is ban on sight and the like, but keep returning. |

If possible, this should really be an option. |

the only reason against this i can think of are people who use vpn to talk in different communities, i had a turkish friend who spoke perfect english but wasn't able to chat in e2 so he used vpn to get around it. maybe there are other reasons for it but how would anyone even be able to tell a person is using a vpn without obviously being repeatedly banned |

I'm not talking about forbidding them from being used, but only when creating a new account. |

People can create tons of accounts before getting banned, so this idea is not so helpful. Also im not sure of that they can detect a person using vpn or not so /nosupport |

I don't support, because maybe there're people that use VPN with good intentions (e.g the game is blocked in their country). |

Mana a dit : Dejavu a dit : This itself should be a reason why I don't support and a few other reasons. - The can keep coming back (Good thing we have ip ban :3) - Uh... Not really any more cons- |

you don't need a vpn to evade bans anyway, all you need to do is change ip which is too simple to do |

I am a supporter of this suggestion, but the sole reason why this isn't being implemented is the fact that a lot of players use a VPN to connect to the internet. Preventing those players from using a VPN to register an account (and to log in subsequently) would basically kill what is left of this game, so that is why this will never happen. |

Going to be taking screenshots the next time my life is threatened with violence from a person with over 1000 "permabanned" accounts that has already made a bunch of other people quit. I mean should his admission of stockpiling ammunition to kill "fascists" like me be taken lightly when we no longer live in a world where that's just a joke of poor taste? If this doesn't affect you, could you maybe refrain from the sass? |

we both know nothing is going to change and that person will be allowed to continue what they do, all you can do is ignore him |

I don't think they can detect when someone's using a VPN unless their IP changes whilst logged-on. |

Not possible under normal circumstances. While there are databases that do keep track of VPNs and proxies (usually only free ones) they only list a very small fraction of the active IP addresses. If it was effective then certain countries would have a much easier time censoring people. You cannot automatically detect if someone is using a VPN or not (unless they use a VPN that is on one of the previously mention databases) simply because VPNs do not announce that it is a VPN. That would defeat the purpose. |
