Shamagnificent Skill Tree |

First of all, this post was translated from the Spanish suggestions post, my english might not be perfect so please sorry me if you see any mistake. I'm also aware that the admins expressed in discord that a new skill tree is very VERY unlikely to happen again in Transformice, but "unlikely" doesn't mean impossible, so, i wish the concept for this is good enough to be considered. Original post: atelier801.com/topic?f=6&t=896578& I wanna suggest a sixth and last skill tree to be made, the ones that already exist are enough i know, BUT, i think that a last tree that is more compact, exclusive and unique, might be the cherry on the cake for the shamans. I have some ideas of the possible abilitites, the shape of the tree and also its purpose. First of all i will talk about what i think would be the best features for this tree. But before anything i wanna say that im NOT A DEVELOPER and this means that some of the abilites might be unbalanced, not be the best for the game or even unhealthy for it. I also dont know how hard it is to code them. I tried to balance them the best i could on what things i consider strong and what things i dont myself. Shamagnificent Skill Tree basic features *You cant use regular skill points in this tree. instead, you use "Supremacy Points" which you gain 1 every 5 lvls starting from level 75 until level 100, allowing you to have a max of 5 points to use. *The skill tree will remain invisible to players until they reach lvl 75, have divine mode unlocked, and at least 2 of last abilities of each other tree. (Cloud, Angel, Eagle Eye, Shameow and Controlled Disintegration) Still have to think in a way to unlock it for survivor players(if needed) that dont like to use regular skills. *The tree has 11 differen skills. *The Shamagnificent Skill Tree skills are oriented to change/surpass certain game mechanics for giving more advantages to the shaman in its playability while being shaman, and doesnt have any intention to give help to the mices directly with its skills. *The tree is different from the rest of the trees, consisting of only 4 branches in which theres 4 in the first one, 3 in the second one and 2 in the 3rd and last one. *You can only choose 1 of the abilities in 3rd and 4th branches Those are the basic features of this tree that i thought of, i think that is enough for making it unique. When you get all conditions to unlock the tree, "Remaining points" indicator in Skills interface will dissappear for a new button that says "Supremacy" on its place or something like that and when you click it a new and unique interface with the new tree would open, and move the "remaining points" thing to another place. Thats one of the options or devs could just add Shamagnificent Skills option in the menu. A cool animation of Elisah unlocking the tree for you would be cool if first option is preferred. Now i will talk about the skills that i have thought. I will give more than 11 examples so that we have more possible combos and because i know some of them might be too strong and should be gone. Feel free to suggest more or to suggest changes to the current ones that i have here if you think its neccesary. (1)You can place nails in PLANKS (and only planks) before summoning them in 5 different positions instead of 3 (2)This ability will only have effect if youre on Hard or Divine mode, when you are in hard mode, you gain 1 red nail, when you are in divine mode, you gain 2 yellow nails. (Like those you have in Totem Build Tool, this ones should not be usable via arrows) (3)You don't gain weight when you gather the cheese. (4)After using this ability(active), the next object you summon will activate "Totemic Power" this effect lasts for 5 seconds, while the effect is on, the shaman objects you summon will not be affected by gravity, collision and mices cant interact with them in any way until effect ends.(if you dont understand it, read it again, its hard to explain, you could also think of it like a time-stop for building) (5)Your ballons follow an straight trajectory when summoned. (6)This ability only works in hard mode. When in hard mode, you can summon your totem twice a game. Your totem shouldnt have red nails, cannons or more than 5 objects for it to work. (7)Reduce your TOTAL summoning area by 50%, and increase summoning speed by 100%. (8)Increase by 50% the applied effect of skills in every other skill tree, Shamagnificent Skill Tree skills are unaffected by this skill. (9)You now have "Evolution" effect permanently. (Check Wildling Skill tree 5th branch for more info) (10)You now dont lose your spirit when in Hard/Divine mode, but your spirit now only affects objects and not mices. (11)You can now summon special planks that you can walk through if you walk by its down side, but work normally in the upper side. (12)You gain 3 cheeses when entering in the hole as shaman. This will only work if theres at least 8 mice in the room when the round starts. (13)First three objects that you summon every game are summoned instantly, no effect in survivor. (14)You gain 2 points for every saved mice instead of 1. (15)Mices cant use any object for the whole first minute of the round. (16)Cheeses that you gain as shaman will go to your inventory. BONUS Complementary Skill: If you have "Projection" skill from "Wind Master" skill tree, you can do projections up and down. Complementary Skill: If you have "Ancestral Spirit" skill from "Spiritual Guide" skill tree, the time you can summon objects while dead is infinite, but you can only summon 5 objects during the effect. Complementary Skill: If you have "Pre-inflated Ballon" skill from "Mecanician" skill tree, the instant balloons you summon are summoned twice. Complementary Skill: If you have "Spide mouse" skill from "Wildling" skill tree, you can summon x2 spider webs, but the spider webs summoned will have half size. Complementary Skill: If you have "Grapnel" skill from "Physicist" skill tree, your grapnels are summoned instantly, but they will hold you a max of 5 seconds. "The idea is interesting but, ¿Whats the purpose of this tree?, ¿Why one more tree?, ¿Why so many limitations to use it?" ¿Whats the purpose of this tree? The idea of this tree is that more experienced shamans and with more level overall, can have access to more powers and skills, also shamans at the point of the unlock have already helped a LOOT of mices, its time them to get their comforts and advantages with this tree. ¿Why one more tree? You are probably thinking that having 6 skills trees is too much and you might be correct, 5 trees seems to be more than enough and fit perfectly the game interface. But now that we have 5 skill trees, i think its a good idea to add a sixth and last one in order for it to be the Ultimate Skill Tree for shamans, a more exclusive tree and with unique advantages and mechanics. I think it sounds great. ¿Why so many limitations to use it? This tree is supposed to be the ultimate one for skilled players that gave enough time to the game to be lvl 75+ so that they are more distinguished than new players. And because with this skills that i thought of and some new ones that more players or the devs themselves can think of, we can generate a lot more different playstiles. Divine mode is always very long planks and tapes, hard mode is clouds, long and repetitive bridges and springs, this should not always be the same. Also, Shameow is underrated. Thats all i have to say about the tree for now. Now i will make some additional comments just for the people that wants to read them, but i suggest you read them anyway. Thanks for reading. As you see, theres some skills that if used together, they might be too strong, check for example (12) + (16) combo, something like this can generate problems in the game economy, but thats why i thought of the limitation that you can only choose one of the two skills in 3rd and 4th branches. This limitation is for devs to allow them to introduce very strong skills and making them unable to combo with other op ones that might be introduced too, having both (12) and (16) in this case in the same branch, should be enough. Also see (7) and (8) combo. Lastly, (3) should allow shamans to move normally in water even if they have cheese on their back. |

There are some very interesting ideas here. Yes, as you said, you would need to think about combos, putting them in tiers to prevent too OP moves. However, I think that maybe we should give higher levelled ppl some sort of challenge rather than making their shamming lives easier - at the point of being lvl 75, they will pretty much be pros at the game. Maybe it could be some sort of exchange skill tree, so you would have to give something up to get each skill e.g. for the skill to not gain weight when with cheese, you would have a reduced amount of anvils? or something along those lines. I'm also not a game developer here, just pitching my thoughts :) |

it was announced good time ago that meli or whoever wasnt willing to work on a new skill tree anymore so im pretty certain any skill tree suggestions are a waste of your time to suggest. i dont really support their general stance but then again there is a ceiling on how much you can fit in game without starting to become repetitive, overpowered or cramping some gimmicks as filler, which could be referred to this post as there many red flags that some skills look rather broken. /nosupport Dernière modification le 1641188580000 |
