This gang of favoers must be STOPPED. They are ruining the game for everyone. |

Syrius a dit : Favos have always been in the game, since 2011 when I started at least. It’s something thats always been there and while it can be annoying at times, it’s there. We cant please every player. Im a little confused because this conversation has gone off a bit from the OP indeed. If you mean like 4-5 mice who are all abusing this in a room together, then we will absolutely do something about it. I dont know a single peer of mine who hasn’t. But when it comes to two friends who are doing it together, this is nothing new to the game and it’s allowed. Also keep in mind, moderating is something we volunteer for on our own free time. If the room is getting annoyed, then I will state it again, the /ban feature is there for anyone to utilize. |

Partyfool a dit : when two friends are favoring in a big room, they will surely be roombanned but if its a small room, they will break the room cuz we wont be able to ban them (votekick needs like 8 people, which is almost impossible in a small room) but i agree that we can ignore them in this case. but when there are 3 people favoing, they are clearly abusing cuz its a team of favoes and they will get lots of saves in a very fast way. u said that they can be banned if they are 4/5 but some mods dont see it as an abuse while others do. i once reported 3 people who were favoing and they got banned for 24h for organized farm but i also have reported 4 people for organized farm, whispered the mods and they did nothing. i think that it should be clear for all mods that organized farm is a thing and is bannable. |

Valentina a dit : There is more than just your report to handle. We get dozens of whispers every minute from players wanting their report to be handled next but it’s not possible to do everyones in seconds. In cases like favo abuse, it can take us a while to ensure that it is in fact favo abuse. We can’t just take a players word for a report. It requires us to look into it and sometimes it can take a while to do so. |

To be fair I have not seen or heard about this tribe for a long time. I imagine mods handled it somehow but I didn't bother to check. |

Funny, I could say the same about you. You have nothing valuable to add to the discussion, your "arguments" are childish and shallow, I am sure you can spend your time somewhere else, stat padding or something. |

What a tempest in a teapot. Favoring was always been part of the game and always will be. I don't like these trolls either, but it has been like this since the game was born. There are some options for you, like using /ban or just moving to a room with your friends. Come on, dissolving the whole tribe wouldn't fix anything because they're free to create a new one or just add themselves to the friendlist and play together in the same room doing the same thing. |

Barrydarsow a dit : i know that i'm late for the topic but it's just cool to realize that barry still thinks its 2012 transformice, as usual physicist skill tree makes favo literally impossible to fail as long as you're not a literal donkey and it's been around for almost 7 years, how did you miss that also the discussion will always go the same direction: players will state that favo is basically not ok and mods will try to convince them it's ok sometimes, but sometimes not, and when it's not, it can get reported, but please mark that being a mod is a volunteer thingy, so we can't be bothered too much, which is... correct, they can't, but how comes we never came up with a discussion that the game literally runs on volunteers, exchanging their free time for a fancy name color, maybe that's sth that should get more attention? lets face it, no matter how frustrating favo is, nothing special is going to be done against it (especially considering that would involve admins changing the terms of service and they're busy projecting new collector fur next week, either that or thinking what fur to recycle) and fair players must simply stop giving a damn about it, i mean, it's just a slowly dying mice game after all some things never changes, it seems |

At some point, if it gets so bad regarding this argument, then maybe it's best to just see the ugly side of the game. Unfortunately there are some things where favouritism is becoming a griefing mountain, which caused players such as me to leave the game for a while until things get patched up. There are other reasons for players to leave as well such as the toxic community and the updates that gotten repetitive for the holidays. Sometimes for their own reason as well or even getting the ban. Favoring has been going on ever since the game took off and back in the day, it's more easier to exploit favorers. But when it came to shaman skills, the Stop skill has been abused to the point where it's being used as a griefing method, which comes off as more harm then good. Teleporters and apples are also to blame because if a shaman manages to freeze everyone, they have time to teleport the favorer to the hole and not give anyone else a chance. So not only favouritism is to blame, but it's also the toxic community that's been warding off any positive players and the overall wholesome stuff away. And honestly, it's quite a sad truth out there with racial slurs, ablism, low-key insults and homophobia being thrown around like skeletons. Personally, i felt this needs to be taken care of. But if a moderator says no, then for me, i beat it. There's no reason to argue with a moderator at all. |

I was never sure how the administrators and staff were able to justify a reasonable relation between favo and trolling, was it because the shaman usually killed everyone and/ or prevented the rest of the room from getting cheese in the act of showing favoritism to their partner? I would hardly call this trolling as the intention isn't to mess with the room but to remove the potential obstacles in order to achieve a goal of essentially cheating. I also never understood the act of implementing the "first" category if in the end, it doesn't even matter because cheating is allowed. You could make an argument in the past that favoing and/ or "trolling" did not have that much of an impact because the player base was much more abundant, allowing you to leave the room or achieve a successful room kick. Since there were much more players in comparison to the actual cheating taking place, you could sweep the cheating under the rug under the guise of trolling because at the end of the day, it was much easier to actually avoid with an ample amount of alternative rooms or players willing to work together to kick them. I think now is a good time to decide on overhauling the so-called trolling claim and speak for what it actually is, an excuse. I doubt most of the player base is actually in favor keeping this because the only people I see advocating for this so called "trolling" are the actual cheaters themselves or the staff that would have to moderate it. |

I hope you realize that in the 12 years of the existence of this game, not once was the in-game staff team able to cope with all reports and misdemeanors that happen on this game. So maybe it's time all of you guys accept the real reason why favo-ing is allowed. It's because it is impossible to prevent this from happening, and any measure that is being suggested will be impossible to maintain. We see this with pretty much every other rule around here. The entire moderation system is subjective and based on the willingness of any moderator to deal with the situation that is presented to them. If people want to misbehave, they can, and often it will be without serious consequences. This is TFM in a nutshell, and the sooner you come to terms with that, the sooner you will come to a peace of mind. |

Anythin a dit : Anythin explained it in the best way possible. Playing in normal rooms is complicated to say the least. This situation is ongoing since years, and there's little the staff can do due to sheer numbers and how the ban system works nowadays. The best thing to do for players is to come to terms with the status of the game and play for the fun of it, in locked rooms with group of players you can trust, or in modules whre statpadders are not an issue. like 2010 |

Retrouvaille a dit : The issue with playing on locked rooms is that the game will look horrendously empty for new players. It also makes it harder to meet new people in the game. The player base is already pretty small, which is not very involving for new players, because why would anyone play a dead game? And yes, Anythin got a fair point, which is why I wanted to start a side discussion about why is TFM running on volunteers for years, nowadays almost solely on volunteers. To make my point stronger, I will just make a little mish-mash of Anythin's comment: Anythin a dit : We definitely made some progress in these years, huh? And yes, I get it, money issues are a thing as well, it's probably impossible to hire enough staff. But hey, at least we can talk (or rant) about it. Maybe some ideas will arise.. and then get scrapped anyway as admins are busy designing three new items for next collectors ;) Dernière modification le 1651828740000 |

When reading the title of the thread I totally misunderstood the whole point of this post by something else very similar happening in the game *behind the curtains* for years XD because according to the rule book that issue will not be tackled or better organized and complaints might bring the old-fashioned sloppy way to jeopardy; (If you know what I mean XD). About the thread: Good point though, I have also seen players doing this in normal rooms, it's annoying! but difficult to deal with. You have graciously put this across OP. Virtini a dit : I completely agree, I've been asking for some action in the past years (like MANY years ago) until I understoood that it's pointless to give any guilt to Mods as they're fisrt of all unpaid (an unicum in the online games world) and as time passes have less and less powers (having to video record every single ban they perform is simply stupid as heck I'm sorry) and admins try to overcome the issue with more mods, that have less power, and so on. I sufggest you to come to terms that this is not a dying game but it's a dead game, with no real updates since the skill trees (how long ago was it?), that already broke the game. it is probably time to move on to other games and log in only when you're waiting the resins to refill in genshin impact lol |
