Introduction, As a VIP,you can only decide where teammates get spawned.After that,you lose control of the team.They may get stuck or digging somewhere,which is not helpful at all.Also things VIP can do is a bit passive,and I suggest a similar game mode,Commander. The commander is able to spawn teammates to fight for him.Also the icon of enemy commander,is only visible for your commander. So teammates should follow the commander to search where is the target. Commander mode in details: 1. As said,only commander sees the icon showing the enemy commander. 2. Commander has 600 hp,every teammate dies reduce 8 hp, 3. Commander has 3 fixed perks,they are 3.1 Brave 20CD,cost 10 hp,combination of Rage and Ammunition 3.2 Persistence 20CD,cost 10 hp,combination of Shield,Health pack. Brave and Persistence shares the same CD,which means using one of the perks,then you can't use the other one at the same time. 3.3 Reinforcement 30CD,cost 15 hp,spawn teammates to fight for you. There's a lot of things behind this perk. After using it,the Reinforcement begins,teammates will spawn after 5 seconds where you used the perk,and they get full health and ammo. Enemy also sees where they will spawn and prepare. For Teammates,to not make it too crowded,only 4 teammates will be spawned,the 4 teammates with highest score will be chosen. When Reinforcement begins,a popups telling you are being reinforced by Commander after 2 seconds. After that,you disappear like you died,without affecting death stat.Your view is aiming the Commander,and have 3 seconds to prepare before spawn. But one thing I concern,if an enemy trap the spawn place with conj and place a mine,spawned teammates have no way to escape.So some protection should be added. When Reinforcement begins,it also spawn a C4,which will explode when teammates spawned.This can clear all conj. And Teammates gain 2 second of shelter,so enemy mine or C4 won't damage them. To sum up,the process is, use and begin Reinforcement>a C4 placed to Commander and there is the location the teammates will come> popups telling teammates to reinforce> 2second later they died and watch the Commander> 3second later the C4 explode,teammates spawns with shelter. What is the difference between commander and VIP? Cder(commander),will get a lot of damage using perk and death of teammates,this encrouge the Cder to not just hide to prevent damage.When facing enemies,except for escape,you can reinforce. Teammates get spawned,they can actually defend for Cder,not just doing their own business. Besides,for some good players(rank B and above),they also have to follow the Cder,otherwise it’s difficult to search the enemy Cder. With this teamwork,it becomes more like a team than in VIP. Also,Cder controls the team further,and able to have diversity strategies.The one who has to make decision carefully. There’s a little problem of Afks,they probably be the targets and keep being killed,I hope a setting,will disable them auto spawn.They can begin spawn once they pressed any key.I think this is a good setting for other game modes as well. |

No. Since we won't get rid of selfish players who take the VIP, charge at the enemy only for kills and then abandon their team, this is a bad idea since they will never spawn us. The opposite is also true because if a VIP wants to troll and cause deaths for their team, they will just spawn their team on top of the enemy and feed us to their friends. There needs to be a clear way to get newer players to travel upwards and complete the objective and not get stuck at the bottom of the map forever. I would rather have a single experienced player that is able to point and give directions to players using mechanisms similar to the shaman signboards on tfm (used through the F key). solfn a dit : I know this new mode has drawbacks,but the drawbacks are the same with VIP mode. If the VIP is selfish or a novice,he leads the team to lose,no matter how teammates fight hard,it's VIP fault,thats what VIP stands for,very important person.I don't think there's a way to filter out this kind of players,as well as the new mode. solfn a dit : I agree there has no instruction in game,so new players don't understand what are those icons(VIP) for.Fort should have a tutorial room and train new players how to use conj.They should train conjing,but not adding new ways to travel upwards for them. As you know in TFM,many maps require you to wj to get up,there's no way a new player can do it.Things they should do is learn it and deal with it.Wj in TFM requires one hand,raise up in Fort requires two hands,both things are a bit difficult.But considering walk and shoot enemy in Fort also require two hands,I would say raising up is easier than wj in TFM. If VIP can point at somewhere with an arrow,it's better to have it.Fort needs a minimap for this,otherwise it points to somewhere players cannot see.Or make the arrow looks like the VIP icon.But then,isn't the same with the current one? I suggested this mode under the mechanisms it has now,so it's much more viable to make it. |

this suggestion just makes the bounty die much faster. mainly focuses on killing the enemy team instead of the main target :T |

Every mode itself is selfish. In flag maps, people go to the bottom and feed off of newbies, in domination people wait for their team to die then finish off the leftover opponents for free easy kills. We can only rid of this by influencing means and by administrative force. |
