What you think of France?
And why?

I'm french that's why I made this topic I would put your answer in the French forum so that they in turn will tell you about opinions.

Well....I'm half french and I live in a country with french people so I love'em C:
(Even if I don't understand what they're saying xD)

i don't like france
i'm forced to learn french in school since i'm canadian and i hate it
i want to learn german instead
plus my french teacher is an ass, she always assigns big projects and gives us due dates like next tuesday. she doesn't care about anyone else except her daughter and the kids who have mental problems.

anyways
i don't really care what the FR server thinks of my opinion, they either like it or they don't

I've been to France 3 times, although once was just passing through it on our way to Germany.
I'm learning French in school, this is my third year but I really don't like it and can't wait to finish this year.
Anyway France overall is really nice from what I've seen of it, my Godparents have a house there which is cool to stay in. It's really big. And there's 2 barns next to it.

Aw, that sucks. My french teacher is a great teacher, can be quite fun but a lot of the time I just dislike her (especially the lessons)

I haven't been to France I'm afraid. But I know how it looks. It's such a beautiful place and it's really amazing. I hope to go there someday.

doesn't mean i hate my /entire/ school, i just hate my french teacher and my french class. i don't go to a french school, however there are some french schools in canada.

I'm trying to learn French by myself right now... it's seems easy to learn, but not all the words stay in my head. ;-;
I also hope to go to France sometime. It looks very nice, and the food/music seem good~

I don't like the french because on FR I'm commonly referred to as an 'English pig' for saying I'm from England.

I also despise French lessons at school because the language is absolutely ridiculous - masculine and feminine? More like sexist and pointless.

I've never been to France even though French is my first language (I'm from Québec, Canada) In general, France seems to be a nice country to visit even though most of the things is concentrated in Paris. I don't know if I'll be going to France one day or another.

By talking about the French people, I must say they are like everyone from any place. For sure, some are really nice and kind people whereas others do really insult a lot. But I can't say more since I only see them in online games.

For French language, it is tough indeed, compared to English. Even though we have like 15 verb tenses, they are very similar (of course, some are almost useless). For masculine and feminine, no, it's not "absolutely ridiculous, sexist and pointless", it's like if every single object has its own gender. There's nothing sexist in it, lol.

A lot of languages have it. I kinda dislike it, but it's not sexist.
And German has masculine, feminine and neutral. That's pretty confusing.

I've been to the country
the eiffel tower is not what it's cracked up to be

first off, these (really annoying) sales people are goddamn [url=]everywhere[/url] saying "ONE EURO!!" while shoving their (complete shit) merchandise right in your face
constantly
it doesn't stop
every fucking 10 seconds (I'm not exaggerating)
if you go there, bring a sign or paint on your face something like "NO I WILL NOT GIVE YOU A EURO"
I swear, if you don't, your voice will go hoarse from all the screaming "NO!!" you have to do at these people
just a normal fucking "no" isn't enough, they'll just continue like: "....One euro?" you have to SCREAM IT

second, the que is [url=]huge[/url]
seriously, it's about twice the wait compared to the most popular disney rides
and the line is horribly unorganized with a ton of fucking line cutters

thirdly, the food there and while you're actually up there isn't even that great
you have to wait half an hour just to get a half-decent freaking chips
although, they did have some pretty alright-ish ice cream when you finally get inside the tower (it's not worth it, though)

fourthly, when you [url=]FINALLY[/url] get up there you're immediately faced with huge crowds everywhere
seriously, if you've got claustrophobia, be prepared for a serious panic attack
(it mainly sucked for me though because I have a fear of heights but thought I'd "got over it" when I was younger; I was so wrong)

AND GET THIS, THE QUES FOR THE GODDAMN UP OR DOWNS LIE TOO
I and some other clueless idiots went up when we wanted to go down
there wasn't a big sign saying if it went up or down (or if there was there were some people covering it) so no one realised until it was too late

yup

I'm from Belgium, and when I went to france, we had to pay for EVERYTHING. Including toilets.. But we stayed there on on the way to UK where I have close family members. I agree with the person above me, the food is terrible, but I think he/she was being a little harsh.. But anyway, Holland is not very different to France, and if I could rate it out of 10, i'll go for 7/10.
