the MOVIE? I didn't think it was too bad... ALTHOUGH I wish it showed Toph.

worst TV show? I dunno either. I'd say SpongeBob or Dora because everyone else hates them.

For those that can't relate...

The Phils is OBSESSED with telenovelas. Unfortunately,

EVERY

SINGLE

ONE

follows certain stereotypes. For example...

1.) The main character must always be a Mary Sue. No exceptions.

2.) There must be two antagonists: one that is related to the protaganist (sister etc.) and one that may or may not be related to Mary Sue's parents. You may also have a twist where it is revealed where one of the antagonists is *gasp* a twin to the protagonist. This antagonist must then forgive and become besties with the protagonist.

3.) If your show is on GMA and your Mary Sue is poor, she must also be in blackface. No, I'm not kidding. (to be fair to those involved with the show, the entire thing was against racism)

4.) Your show should be divided into two stages: one where the main characters are children, and one where they're young adults.

5.) There are only 3 possible endings for an antagonist.

a.) S/he must go to a mental asylum. This is used for shows where the antagonist has a crush on the protagonist. I have seen examples of this used for other antagonists however.

b.) S/he must go to jail, but promptly ask forgiveness from everyone they've ever wronged. This is usually done to secondary antagonists.

c.) S/he must die horribly. Preferrably by being burnt to death.

6.) Your Mary Sue can have two love interests who fight like a cat and dog over her.

7.) The Mary Sue is usually poor, while the bad girl is RICH. As in goes to exclusive school, has /cars/, and European-style house rich. You could have them switch places later on.

8.) The ending must be EXTREMELY sappy with some random speech about morals and whatnot.

9.) If you kill off your Mary Sue and mayyybeee her partner (you monster), you must have a scene of them in heaven. You could also do a Disney death and bring them back.

10.) The graphics must be so bad that YouTube users can best them.

There may be more, but I'm pretty sure I've defined just about every telenovela in this list.

But their news coverage on the other hand is superb. Trust me.
