Make-up, also known as Cosmetics, are products that you can apply on your body to make enhance your features, make you smell better, define your face, etc. For years, people have been using make up whether it's for better confidence, to conceal things they dislike, appearing to have flawless skin, etc.
Make-up started all in the 1870s, a man named Max Faktor opened his own shop in suburb Moscow selling "rouges, creams, fragrances, and wigs." He came to Amercia in 1904 with his family. "In 1914, Factor created a make-up specifically for movie-actors that, unlike theatrical make-up, would not crack or cake. Soon movie stars were filing through Max Factor’s make-up studio, eager to sample the "flexible greasepaint" while producers sought Factor’s human hair wigs. There are many kinds of make-up products like lipstick, concealer, foundation, eyeliner, blush, bronzer, and eyeshadow. There are also many kinds of things to apply it with like a kabuki brush, powder brush, powder puffs, sponges. (These are just things I can name at the top of my head)
Lipstick is a cosmetic that can be used to colour your lips.
Concealer is a cosmetic that can be used to cover pimples, dark circles, beauty marks.
Eyeliner is a cosmetic that can be used to enhance your eyes.
Eyeshadow is a cosmetic that can be used to add colour to your lid rather than just eyeliner.
Blush is a cosmetic that can add a light or dramatic pink/any colour you want, shade to your cheeks.
Bronzer is a cosmetic that can contour your face. It can leave your face looking slimmer and your forehead not as big.
Make-up is a great confidence booster, concealer, and you can do amazing things with it like make yourself look like a celebrity or completely change your look.
For example, Promise Phan. I think Promise Phan is gorgeous as is, but the things she can do with cosmetics is just amazing.

Make-up has its negatives though, like:
- It can clog pores(but there are great effective make-up removers)
- It can break you out(certain products|everyone skin is different)
- It can break down skin making you appear a bit older than you are(if it's not removed correctly)
- It can rub off on your clothes.
- Can be harsh on the wallet(make up can go as high up to $100 dollars)
- Hearing people time to time saying blah blah blah make up is bad I prefer people without make up blah blah blah natural beauty is best blah blah blah.

I'm not saying you should go out and get make-up because you need it.
I think everyone has natural beauty and is very beautiful no matter what.
I just love and appreciate make-up very much and decided to make a thread about it.

My make up routine-
First I drink a glass of water. Then I clean my face with a make-up/oil/dirt removing wipe. Then I put on a moisturizer/primer. I put on my BB cream with my hands to conceal anything I dislike on my face and give a flawless like coverage. I then apply my skin tone powder on my face and neck with a powder brush. I start to work on my eyes by applying eyeshadow primer and the eyeshadows I like. I usually use matte brown and matte taupe colour over it. I then put a sort of gold shimmer under my eyes. Then I put on my eyeliner. I usually use black. Then I curl my lashes and put on my favourite mascara which is Illegal Lashes by Maybelline. After that, if I feel like it I add blush and bronzer.
My updated make up routine-
Clean my face. Tone my face. Moisturize my face. Prime my face. Apply foundation. Apply concealer. Contour nose, jawline, forehead. Set everything with translucent powder. Eyeliner. Curl lashes and then mascara. Do my eyebrows. Blush and highlight.

i usually only wear makeup if its an occasion
but i guess now and then i do a smoky eye look if im in the mood to actually do it

i don't wear makeup for three reasons

- takes too long to put it on
- i don't know how to put it on
- i think my face looks fine the way it is

i only wear makeup for special occasions, and i usually get my mom to put it on for me

I only wear eye-liner and occasionally concealer but that's it.

there's more bizarre allergic reactions than that. i know a few people who are allergic to certain makeup, it's not a rare thing.
