Zoo Tycoon is a zoo simulation developed by Blue Fang Games and released by Microsoft Game Studios. It is a tycoon game in which the player must run a zoo and maintain the guests in the zoo.
The goal of Zoo Tycoon is to create a thriving zoo by building exhibits to accommodate animals and keeping the guests and animals happy. Exhibit-building is one of the primary goals of Zoo Tycoon. To keep the guests and animals happy, exhibits should be suitable to the animal; for example, a lion is best suited to a savannah environment.
There is a total of two expansion packs in the original series. They both added new things when installed after you installed the original zoo tycoon. They are "Dinosaur Dig" and Marine Mania".



Zoo Tycoon 2 carries the same game-play as Blue Fang Games' original video game Zoo Tycoon, which is to create and operate a zoo by creating exhibits and aquariums, keeping guest and animals happy, and maintaining employees, finances, terrain, and scenery.
There are a number of gameplay modes in the game, and each (with the exception of Freeform) has differing limitations. A Freeform game in Zoo Tycoon 2 allows you to create the zoo of your choice, the only restrictions being space, animals, and objects. The player's money supply is unlimited, and all items are available from the beginning of the game (except those that can only be unlocked in Scenario and Challenge games). There is also a Campaign mode in which the player chooses a campaign to play through and is placed in the shoes of an average zoo owner and is assigned different goals to complete; these goals may include having to breed tapirs, train dolphins, rescuing abused animals and more.
There is a total of four expansion packs. "Extinct Animals" "African Adventure" "Marine Mania" "Endangered Species."



Zoo Tycoon (2013) is a business simulation video game developed by Frontier Developments and published by Microsoft Studios. The game was released on 22 November 2013 for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
The game will feature a new level of up close interactions with the animals and zoo. The gameplay that was shown included elements of Zoo Tycoon 2 such as first person view, and new elements like feeding the animals in first person view or and having zoo keepers feed them instead. Tycoon Mode, which was introduced in the first Zoo Tycoon, has returned. The player can help animals with problems like changing moods, hunger, and thirst.
The Xbox 360 Version will have half the animals in the Xbox One Version, and only single-player since the RAM of Xbox 360 is little compared to Xbox One.
