Wings of Fire is a book about several dragons who plan on saving the world and dragon tribes from the Great War. There are several dragons involved in this.

First, the type of dragons in this book.

MudWings

Thick, armored brown scales. Sometimes with amber gold underscales. Large, flat heads with nostrils at the top of the snout.
Abilites : Can breathe fire (if warm enough), can hold their breath for up to an hour, and blend into large mud puddles; usually very strong.

Queen : Queen Morhen

Alliances : Currently allied with Burn and the SkyWings in the Great War.


SandWings

Pale gold or white scales the color of desert sand; poisonous barbed tail (just a like a scorpions'); forked black tongues.

Abilities : Can survive a long time without water, poison enemies with the tips of their tails, bury themselves for camouflage in the desert sand, can breathe fire.

Queen : Since the death of Queen Oasis, the tribe is split between three rivals for the throne; sisters Burn, Blister, and Blaze.

Alliances : Burn fights along with SkyWings and MudWings; Blister is allied with SeaWings; and Blaze has the support of most SandWings as well as an alliance with the IceWings.

SkyWings

Description: Red-gold or orange scales; enormous wings

Abilities: Powerful fighters and flighters, can breathe fire
Queen: Queen Scarlet

Alliances: Currently allied with Burn and the MudWings in the great war

SeaWings


Description: Blue or green or aquamarine scales; webs between their claws; gills on their neck; glow-in-the-dark stripes on their tails/snouts/underbellies.

Abilities: Can breathe underwater, see in the dark, create huge waves with one splash of their powerful tails; excellent swimmers.

Queen: Queen Coral

Alliances: currently allied with Blister in the great war.

RainWings

Description: scales constanly shift colors, usally bright like birds of paradise; prehensile tails.

Abilities: can camoflage their scales to blend into their surroundings, use their prehensile tails for climbing; no known natural weapons.

Alliances: Not involved in the great war.

IceWings

Description: silvery scales like the moon or pale blue like ice; ridged claws to grips the ice; forked blue tongues; tails narrow to a whip-thin end.

Abilities: can withstand subzero tempatures amd bright light, exhale a deadly freezing breath.

Queen: Queen Glacier

Alliances: Blaze and most of the SandWings.

NightWings

Description: purplish-black scales, sometimes with dark blue. The underside of their wings is speckled with silver scales, giving them the look of a night sky filled with twinkling stars.

Abilities: they have the ability of mind-reading and telepathy, as well as being able to tell prophecies. In addition, these dragons are also able to breathe fire at any time.

Queen: A closely guarded secret.

Alliances: Too mysterious and powerful to be involved in the Great War.

Sunny
Sunny is a Sandwing dragon. She is deformed, meaning no barbed tail and a pretty small size.

Clay
Clay is Mudwing dragon. He is pretty huge, but he is not that fierce. He was fierce when he was first hatched, but right now he's not.

A lot of books copy warrior cats mechanics of writing. It bugs me, because they all have almost the same plot now .-.
