I'm studying Spanish at school (Spanish III, not much fun), so I have some experience in Spanish... partially. I'm also self-studying a few language at the moment. I know basic Vietnamese from childhood, but I'm also interested in Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Mandarin), Russian, Portuguese, French, Greek and Latin. Other languages are just for their pretty alphabets/characters. *-* Probably the best method of learning a language you can possibly have is immersion in country with some tutoring. But usually for self-studying, learning concepts like grammar (in-depth) and vocabulary is a must. Watching videos and practicing is the most crucial things to train your brain. Also, try to THINK in that language. Ex: Instead of "manzana" meaning "apple" in your brain, think of "manzana" and the concept of apple itself instead of translating it to native tongue. Images and ideas work best (for me) (if you know what I mean). |
