Just realised there wasn't a thread concentrated on animation

Anyway, what do you guys think about animating? If you do make animations, do you make them for entertainment only? Or also for homework, etc?

I usually do animation just for fun (In fact, I'm working on one right now). Do you like animations? If you do animate, what programs do you use?

GIFs are the simplest file types for animations, but you can also save them in .avi and other file types.

(Sorry if there's already a thread like this lol).

Oh my god, never even noticed there wasn't a thread.
Anyway, I've been animating since I was 9, thanks to all of these videos I've been watching on YouTube then.
I use PaintTool SAI and Windows Live Movie Maker, when I first started I used Paint and Windows Movie Maker.
My YouTube has quite a few animations I've made, here it is if you want to check out my animations. ^^
And I'm working on a few, currently.

Haha, I also use SAI, but I use VideoPad Video Editor to stick them into an .avi file to upload to Youtube.

Actually I first animated because of Fierying lol

I use an online converter to convert to GIF lol.

I used to watch peoples short animations on Filpnote Hatena. The websites and services are closed down, you can still use it if your lucky but, cant upload I'm not sure if you can still download the software.

I did tiny animations on Flipnote, turns out I'm really good and with my artistic ability & being a perfectionist it takes me 6-8 months to animate something small.

A large project would probably take me 2-3 years

I had it when I first got my DSI my L and R button broke so, I could'nt animate, also I didn't know how to animate nor draw on anything digital. Im better on pencil and paper

I really want to put some of my ideas into animations, if you don't mind these are some of the little things I draw when I doodle

I like animating, i made some tfm animations ._. but they're so.... bad. I like to make animations if i come up with an idea and i really wanna make it. I use ms paint and windows movie maker
