Kimba The White Lion is an anime (I believe) that is fairly similar to the Lion King, but they have many differences

I doubt many people here have heard of Kimba The White Lion, but there are various episodes in youtube, if youre curious enough; the videos are in Japanese, but you can put captions in english. The captions were stopped being made in around episodes 30 :c

Yeah, it was an anime created by Osamu Tezuka (aka the "Father of Anime," probably known best for the Speed Racer series). They did dub it though so I'm sure you can find dubs somewhere.

Its kinda inspired from Lion King.. SIMBA= KIMBA, the photo is almost alike, they changed colors and animation a bit. And its about lions. Stupid copycats

Kimba the White Lion came out in the 1960s. Lion King came out in '94. Who copied who again?

I said it’s not a ripoff. They do have unexplained similarities, but Lion King was based off Hamlet.

You could technically consider it one as it's natively Japanese.
