I don't understand. Updates have to be made no matter what. The game must continue to develop and that can only be done by constantly updating the game.
Also, your ping has absolutely nothing to do with the recent updates. It's all dependent on your internet.

I'm sure they're talking about the more recent updates/changes like the Cafe and chat updates, both of which the game would've been fine without and the time spent on those could have been put towards the new skill tree or something along the lines of that (in my opinion).

Aesthetic changes are nice, I won't lie about that, but with the friends list bug that shows players on 24/7 along with other things probably should have taken priority before things like the cafe or chat were added/changed.

even for it being 2 and a half years ago, things still changed a lot from the time i joined
from additional updates to interface, it has all changed

Atelier801 obviously prefers quantity over quality..

every update they have just makes the game lag more and more for a lot of people

Hm, the OP could've been clearer, but thanks for your clarification. I do thoroughly agree with what you said.

Uh.. Of course the udpates should stay.. Why not? Well, yeah I know that some people doesn't like what have been updated for now, but others do. If that's what you mean.

Honestly i DO miss the tfm i once joined, but obviously it's going to change no matter what, it's what all games do

I truly don't understand what's so wrong with the new updates, I think it looks much cleaner, and I haven't lagged at all.
Which leads me to the question: "Is the lag just all in your heads?"
I adore the new updates, the little quick bar, the chat, everything.
It's 2014, I'm happy that they've decided to "get with the program" of everything looking tecchy.

People think that small updates like the chat ui update is useless because we just see it in terms of
"is just some ui redesign that is not so important!"
But actually it is important as it shows how professional it is in terms of how they care of the little things.
it is important for a game base but detailing in terms of graphics and small additional codes which makes the game unique is the one that sells the game (or bring more players)

But of course doing all these at late development when there are clearly unfinished projects that are pending for so long, these are really not put in the right moment. They are procrastinating honestly. They have a long list of things to do (trello) and all we get is the "good stuff", not fixing the base. Is like a putting decoration on a house that is about to collapse.

So yes these updates are IMPORTANT, but is not the right time to do them

Many are necessary. I believe Haruhitastic said herself that the text update was because some languages weren't appearing correctly, so that was necessary.

Yep, Tig took it as an opportunity to experiment thus giving us the chat updates, but the main reason was indeed a bug on other langs.

Transformice is a forever changing game and this is why players still come back whether you like it or not. Nothing stays the same forever and I actually have been thinking that tfm needs a major face lift soon on the chat section.

Look how much it has changed. The good thing about the admins is that they always take our opinions into consideration. They try to do the very best for us and they work very hard. Most changes are a good thing, however they may take some getting used to.

Some of the updates are useful. I am not sure which of these updates were actually intended to happen and which ones just kinda happened by themselves though. The chat updates was a very nice new feature, and the tribunal system is super useful. Now, I have seen some changed at the friction of chocolate lately, which I am not sure if it was meant to happen. The water update, hm, not sure if necessary, but I think people will get used to it fairly quickly.

There have been some bugs lately, examples include the friend list that gets bugged, and yesterday I noticed that the holes have been acting kinda weirdly(in some maps they seemed to be invisible, even though it was still there). Everyone has to understand though that when a new update comes on, some bugs will be created, which need to be fixed afterwards; that happens in every game.

Most often the updates are to protect the game from a bug or glitch that hasn't happened yet and we don't know about it yet.
That is at least what i think. Also It's still THERE creation not ours.

that was because tfm was updating LMAO

If the game never updated, it would get boring and no one would play it. While the game is updating, there's always something else you can do.
