Just a thread for equestrians on TFM! I personally have been riding for 4 years now, and Im learning to canter jump courses. I ride a chestnut welsh pony with a star, if you were wondering.

Sounds interesting. What do you do as an equestrian?

Horse back riding :) It IS a sport and it differs what u can do. From jumping to eventing. The list is endless! I personally just got back from horse show <3

I've been riding for 4 years and I can canter and jump about a metre :D The pony I ride is a 14.4hh dark bay roan called Alfie ^-^

4 Years of riding for me as well, I canter and jump XD I ride a pony that is 14.1 ( i think XD ) hands and is chesnut called Wylie!

I haven't rode a horse yet. I need to try it. Dx

I want to ride horses, but I don't know if I can ever.

If you want to start riding here are some steps/suggestions:
1. Look for places around your area.
2. If your a minor talk to your parents about how expensive this place is, even if you cant get lessons many barns do look for stable hands. You could work hours in exchange for lessons?
3. If you cant ride, why not get involved in something like 4-H? Its a really good experience and you get to learn all about horses.
