Literacy - This is a literate RP Tribe. That means I expect at least three-four lines of roleplay per post. No one-liners, and nu tlkng lke dis. I know literacy rules are annoying, but one or two-liners are hard to work with. No god-modding, power-playing, meta-gaming or spotlighting. Romance, Violence, Killing, and Stealing - Keep all violence, romance, and killing PG. No explicit gore, mating, kitting, etc. Please try not to, but if it is absolutely necessary, a fade to black or timeskip is allowed to keep things PG. Kit-stealing is allowed, however, please ask before you either steal from someone else or steal from us, and no "Examplecat walked into camp and stole all the kits". We will report you for spam. Cat Names/Descriptions - No Mary-Sues or Gary-Sues. Also, no unrealistic pelt colors. You don't see purple cats or cats with fur that changes colors. Since GorseClan cats are supposed to be powerful and dark-pelted, we ask that you adhere to this when joining. The only possible exceptions to the strength rule are elders and the medicine cat/med. apprentice. Also, please check to make sure your cat's name hasn't already been taken. Plagiarism - If I find out that you use anything from this page without giving appropriate credit, such as to myself or to Shiishan, or to whomever else it applies to, I will report the offending material for Plagiarism. Plagiarizing will not only get you in huge trouble here on the forums, but it is also a FEDERAL OFFENSE. You have been warned. Always have fun - We are a fun-loving tribe who are willing to accept anyone willing to participate actively. There's no point in having a RP Tribe if nobody is having fun. Respect the territory/point of this Clan setup - There are no icy mountains or oceans in GorseClan territory. Respect the territory, please. Also, there is a reason we only accept cats who are powerful and dark-pelted. Before joining, please read this. Cat Relationships - No same-gender relationships, and you cannot have two of your own characters be mates/crushes. Prophecies - If you want a prophecy to be delivered to your cat, please ask Shiishan first. Gender Ratio ~ Please try and keep the gender ratio even. For every she-cat you make, please make a tom, and vice versa. Mentors and Warrior Names ~ You must use whatever warrior name your cat is assigned if you choose to have your character start out as an apprentice, and you must also accept the mentor you are assigned. Preferences will be taken into consideration.
The territory of GorseClan is a lush forest entangled with undergrowth, making it difficult to navigate. The only open area in the entire territory is Fennel Field, which lays at the northernmost point of GorseClan territory. *~*Points of Interest*~* Fennel Field ~ A small, open field at the northernmost point of GorseClan territory. The only open area in the entire territory, Fennel Field is home to many hawks and eagles, as well as prey such as rabbits, field mice, and various birds. Just beyond Fennel Field lay the mountains, and the plentiful prey of the field tend to attract mountainous predators, such as mountain lions and coyotes. Thistle's Cave ~ A small cave hidden deep in the heart of GorseClan territory. GorseClan's representatives, leaders, deputies, and medicine cats have all met here over the course of the Clan's history to discuss serious matters. The cave is home to bats and mice, and is unsuitable for anything except major meetings. Because of the secrecy of the meetings held there, the identity of the cave is kept secret from regular warriors and apprentices. Hawk Hollow ~ The main training spot for apprentices. Each GorseClan apprentice learns how to hunt, steal, and, most importantly, fight here. The hollow gets its name from the strange hawk-like imprint in one of the old rocks at the edge of the hollow. The hollow is sandy and covered with leaf litter, making it ideal for training young cats.
The principles a Warrior MUST live by 1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from the other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle. 2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory. 3. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. 4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life. 5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. 6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. 7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. 8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires. 9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh. 10. A gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time. 11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats. 12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan. 13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code. 14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense. 15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
