Hi there mice...

As you may have known, there was an 'Terror' act in Paris on 7th January. And there have been many blogs made about it, but here, I want to discuss whatever happens, could happen to Atelier 801 too.

Here's something from Meli's blog :


*There have been 12 people killed and more injured.
*There have been 2 or 3 suspects who may have started the 'terror' act..
*Police has started a massive Manhunt.
*By 7.15pm (07.01.2015), Paris time, there had been 2.1m Tweets for #JeSuisCharlie (via @TwitterFrance).

I think it should be clear that drawings, writing or any other form of expression does never warrant physical attacks of any kind. These attackers, who are yet to be arrested, felt that they should for some reason have revenge. They felt they were wronged so badly that they should kill for it. I think we can safely say they were misguided as there is nothing in the world that makes this sort of action right.

Obviously there is a lot of grief and anger caused by all this. This energy can be used to hate these attackers, but also to mourn and perhaps even celebrate the lives of those who died. I prefer this second option as these murderers have had too much attention already anyway.

If you wish to write about this here, please keep in mind that, even when discussing something as dark as this, being respectful should be a key priority.

My thoughts go out to whole france, what happend is unaceptable in every way
I'm now watching the news, for any updates on the hostages.

The both terrorists who attacked Charlie Hebdo's building were just shooted by the GIGN ( a police like the SWAT in the USA )

There was also another man in Paris who entered into a jewish market and took several people hostage. Apparently he has been killed too.

It was surprising to see that this event hurt everyone in the world, it means that it was very important...

This is horrible Who knows what could happen, they cloud go all over the world killing people who didn't want to die, I hope we can stop this

I will pray for the people who have been killed or greatly hurt; and I bet there will be a surge of patriotism among the French people, which will only make France stronger.

These terrorists are scaring me though. I've been reading in the papers here in the UK that Al-Qaeda is eying us next. Especially here in London

News is always trying to scare you

This terror act is a reminder to the whole world, that this happens daily in iraq, and that we need to stand up against to these terror acts more
In the end it makes us stronger

Why would Atelier 801 be in Paris? I thought their base was in Lille

It is, and there is 200 kilometers ( 124 miles ) between Lille and Paris

But this event touched eveyone in France, especially humorists and cartoonists

Yes, it was only in Paris but next there was 2 hostages in different places

I'd like to point out that France does not do war lightly. In the past they've been very brutal. I fear that this whole thing will not just add to the fear and hatred of other people, but may actually trigger something even worse, something like war or the sort. I wish the best for everyone across the world and I wish that this does not lead to the French going to an extreme war. France is one of maybe a handful of countries that have possession of a decent amount of nuclear weapons. It's a lot to take in when you think of even more factors, but even without the other factors this is extremely troubling to many including me. I hope that the casualties and injured numbers decrease and stop. I sincerely feel bad for anyone who even knows about this.
