What things scared you momentarily before you realized what they are?

i swear.. they scare me so badly

tbh any bug that gets on me
i keep thinking they're a bee
i freak out and get the bug off me because instincts.
but usually they're either a ladybug. if they're near me, a butterfly or fly.

everything scares me, i watch too many peeps play horror games ;^;

I was exploring a graveyard on halloween with friends and we saw a moving pair of yellow dots staring at us from a tombstone
my first thought was oh shit it's satan and we all sprinted out screaming
looking back it was probably a cat or something, their eyes glow in the dark

My cats jump on to my shoulders sometimes, and to my family members.
Scary as hell.

A few things and incidents.

Once, a ladybug was crawling on my neck and I thought it was a tick. Scary as hell.

Another time, I saw a shadow in my room on the wall despite nothing seemingly causing it. I never found out what caused the shadow.

*starts to fall asleep*
*tHe bEd SUDDENLY ShAkEs for a few seconds!!!!*
*I hear a purr*

*turns on light*
*glares at cat on the bed looking at me*

One day when my brother came home from the gas station (we can walk its like a parking lot away) he came in through the screen door and I just panicked and then I was like oh.

And my entirely black cat.

shadows can give me the creeps, especially when I'm alone

At night, before I fall asleep, I strain my ears too much, trying to hear my surroundings

Then I hear shuffling and Im scared shitless

when im in bed i hear a wwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhh noise

I then remember its my TiVo box updating and come from under the covers XD

*sits on bed calmly, playing with toys* (parents were both at work and only my older sister, younger brother and babysitter were there(yeah babysitter, my brother is 7 and mom said a babysitter would be good for him and for me too. me and my siblings were in my room and the babysitter was in the living)
Anyways, suddenly... *bed starts to shake really bad, so does every furniture into my room!!!*
I scream like a maniac AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH and hide under the covers and cry.
Then I hear my brother scream too. Then my sister screams also.
We all were hugging each other and crying under the covers. I am 12, my sis is 13 and brother is 7. We are still kids ;;;;;
A minute later, everything stops. The babysitter(Amanda) comes in with a bored face and uncovers us. "It was just a small earthquake, silly!".
Yep, our first earthquake ever. XD God dammit I was so scared.

Whenever my curtains and clothes around my room makes some sort of 'face'. Not really frightening, but it is eerie.
