What fears do you have that you really shouldnt have?

I fear the mirror. Not in the way of “It’ll fall on me” or something like that, but in a way that I might see something that isnt there.

And it creeps me out that I dont know if my reflection is still staring at me when I turn around..

I actually fear that too ^


I fear that if I don't talk out loud or sing or have the tv on while I'm home alone that something creepy will like be lured out by the silence and get me.
Don't get me wrong; I'm not just afraid of being alone. That's fine, as long as it's not dead silent.

Im scared of the dark...
Whenever im in it,i just feel like someone is watching me.Even under the covers,im too scared to pull them to see something watching me 'sleep'

That’s the only reason I hate the dark-- I dont know what is around me

...I sleep with my lights on, even though it’s bad for my rest

I'm scared of doing things I haven't done in a while because i'm worried something bad will happen.

When I was little we had an extremely buggy Windows XP and it would have error messages every now and then, but I would hear this: with the classic error message box and shit my pants. It would take me days to get over it.

i would say spiders, but that isn't irrational.

I'm afraid of aliens. I used to have a phase where I would watch 'Unsealed: Alien Files' (great show) and they'd show these scenarios real people went through (implants, abductions, encounters, etc).

I'm also afraid of outer space and other planets. Just thinking about how big they are compared to the Earth is scary. Also, their designs freak me out, too. I don't really know why, but yeah.

Big numbers are overwhelming and scary to me. (ex. this planet is 2.9 trillion times bigger than Jupiter, I'd freak out so badly)

But that's about it. I have a ton of other fears though, but they aren't irrational. (dark, spiders, tight space, heights, etc.)

Spider fears are kinda irrational. Sure, some are venomous, but a death by one is very rare

Im supposing that fear of spider comes influenced in games and movies, since theyre put in dark scenarios and depicted as scary

Youre actually more likely to die from a horse; a car; a shark; a dog; and even playing American Football than you are from a spider
..But you dont see people running around trying to hit every football player they see with a shoe

Kind of. But that's not what I am afraid of. Just their general creepiness.

By the way, if someone is afraid of sharks, don't worry. A shark is half as likely to kill you as a vending machine.

this is the entire reason why i keep my computer on at night.
