[Suggestion] Being able to edit inbox messages

hi im billy mays here with the new edit-message button
its a pretty simple idea, considering the title pretty much said it already
anyway, i think this would also work with chats within the inbox folder
it would be accessed by (obviously) clicking the gear widget once a message of your own had been posted, then you can edit it via a button that simply says "Edit"
(like the public section of the forums posts)
(or in this case, the online/offline button. rip)

anyway, please leave your feedback on this idea !!

i think after the person views the message there is no reason to edit.

I think it'd be useful for people who like to use the inbox for creative purposes.

Support. Especially if there was a "history" feature (although that would probably unnecessarily burden the server).

That's a good idea, Fewfre! I do agree it might be unnecessary, but it would be an excellent idea.

I never really understood why there is no edit button... but yes please, I'd like this change.

I agree with this, /support. Maybe in the meanwhile there should be a way to preview whom sees the message? Like a counter.
