A neighbor called me to catch it.
For sure he'll be released though. I'm going to take him to an isolated field where he'll hopefully find a mate before dying of old age. These tarantulas take a very long time to reach sexual maturity and are actually quite vulnerable to extinction as a result.

I hope it finds a good home,and mate! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Spiders are cool, don't kill it,

i'm okay with small spiders, like the ones you see in New York, but if i saw that tarantula close to me, i would probably pass out.

While it's kinda scary, don't kill it. Because, as you said, it's endangered.

I herded it into a plastic container and made it move by poking it. I forget if I used my finger or some other object.

Little fella is long gone by now.
