when did it end?

a few years ago iirc, the few remaining members of ISIS were eradicated by syrian forces, and US declared it a total defeat. it didn't end per say, but the news coverage regarding their activity has since declined and not a major peep was heard from them as of yet.

so... what was the purpose of that necrobump again? care to say anything else that's worthwhile?
