Ever since I left my laptop on for 5 hours it stopped charging. I took out the battery twice and put it back in and it worked fine for a day or so. Now it's draining every time I turn it off but when i'm using it the percentage doesn't change? How do I fix this? |

I had he same problem a few months ago. NEVER over-charge your phone or tablet, it screws up the charger. I had no choice but to buy a new one, so I guess that'll work for you. |

ok, now try and see if you can buy a new battery. if your laptop is kinda old then the battery might be dead. Dernière modification le 1448468820000 |

i did not say charger i said battery port, as in where u put the battery in. there is no way for you to change that unless you're a laptop repairman/woman/nonbinary pal |

considering thats pretty old then try to get a new pc all together? theres no need to try and repair it if it's close to becoming unusable anyway |

yes i do understand that, only the average lifespan of a computer is 3-5 years so if i were you i wouldnt spend money to replace it but if you wanna get it fixed go for it |

If you did unplug the battery, plug in the charger and it worked for you, then it's either the charging IC (a chip inside the laptop responsible for supplying the battery with correct charging voltages) that is broken and needs to be replaced, or the battery itself. Try consulting a repairman to see whether it's the battery that's broken or the IC, both are replaceable. |
