Tooltips would be a nice addition to the forum for showing additional information on something (text, images).

How would these be implemented, showing additional information automatically when hovering over an image (like EXIFF/META data?) or as a BBCode with custom text to input?

I do certainly think a custom BBCode would be useful for [tooltip=A little message that pops up when you hover over something.]tooltips[/tooltip] in many different contexts, so long as it's clear the content has a tooltip.

BBCode tooltips would be great, since tooltips aren't really meant for images only. :D
