I saw that when someone wanted to report a thread , he should :
1- Click on the avatar of the player who created the thread
Picture

2-Click on "Report"

3-Write reason of reporting
Picture

BUT why we don't add a report thread button ?
So i created this small design or plan .

http://i.imgur.com/WellRZ6.png

It's a thread reporting button behind posts number that it will show you a box of thread options you choose REPORTING , IGNORING
If you IGNORE , the thread will be added in your ingored Topics.

-Where the ignored topics will be ?

Between Favorite topics and Favorite tribes
Use /support or /nosupport + reason please !

Locked topics & Announecements & Threads created by Moderators , helpers , admins , mapcrews , sentinels , funcorp! Can't have this reporting button!

/support. It gives a bit extra security and might make things a bit easier for sentinels.

There's no need when you can just report the thread by...going to it.

No support. You'll have trigger-happy people reporting the thread just by the title, without even reading it first!

I do support a more general "report thread" button in the actual post, as it really does not feel intuitive to me to report a person instead of a thread - and before someone misunderstands me, I mean that every other option on that menu (even the "quote" button right above) is about the person, and while they made the thread and it's their responsibility, reporting a PERSON when I want to report a thread that person made seems weird. Makes sense for individual posts, but reporting a whole thread by reporting a single person just seems off.

In 99% of cases you can't report a thread with a valid report without actually going to the thread itself and reading the content, in which case you're already on the page to be able to report it. I wouldn't mind a report button on the thread index, but I don't really see a point in it.

Ignoring threads could be useful for some people, sure. The problem that I see with this is that, as forums generally work, there are many threads constantly added.every day. I don't think people that want to keep their forum index clean with just threads they're interested in will be constantly ignoring every other new thread they see just because they're not interested. Infact I think the "favourite threads" system is perfect for this already since it lets you filter the content you want to see in a more finetuned way.

I certainly agree with you that the interface isn't very intuitive when it comes to things like this, it's almost as if it's lacking usability just to look a little bit cleaner. I see your point about the "report" being jumbled among other things about the user, but it's under the heading "message" which gives it some context. Even the "quote" option is about the message itself directly, not the user.

About the ignoring , i think if maybe i have 30 favorite threads and i won't see like that 10 others that every day are posted by someone , who'se breaking rules , you know i can't favorite all these 30 threads , it will be just like simple , no different of the others , but if i want to ignore just these 10 threads , it will be more clearer for the forum , then when i go on it i see in the first page all what i want to see , maybe the reporting button isn't very useful , but about the ignoring it's good !
